I was one of the many, who recommended that you listen to him sing this song. I knew you would love it. Dan is amazing and in my opinion, should be on a opera stage somewhere. To answer your questions, he does everything himself. He records in his garage studio. He does all of the music and editing. He was offered a recording contract, but refused. I think he likes complete control over what and how he sings and how his videos are made. Glad you enjoyed.

My favorite singer also. He’s the sweetheart of all sweethearts. He very smart and logical. He likes to fo covers of Journey and Bon Jovi. You should do his version od Bohemian Rapsody by Queen and Toto’s Africa. He does all the different parts/voices all by himself and splices them in all together, its freakin awesome to say the least.

Not sure if you are familiar with the play Jesus Christ Superstar, but he sings the song Gethsemane that Jesus sings just before he gets betrayed by Judas. The emotion makes you cry … it will leave you speechless

The answer to your closing question, is....Yes, Dan does it all himself, alone in his studio in his garage. He even has a video on RU-vid where he teaches how to set up a recording studio. Mostly he is self taught having learned a lot of it from RU-vid. He has stated that his early videos were filmed/recorded on just his cell phone. He now has more than one camera. According to what he has said, he records the video three times, chooses the one that he thinks he sang the best and that becomes the sound track. He then edits the video adding in shots from the other two takes to give the final product a more interesting professional look. When he first started, he would change his position in each take, now he changes the position of the cameras. The recordings that fascinate me most are the ones in which he sings many harmonizing parts: i.e.: Bohemian Rhapsody or Handel's Chorus in which he sings 24 harmonizing voices. I've read it took over 250 takes to record that one.

I recently discovered him also and am blown away. You are right in saying he IS the music. His blood runs through every note. He has moved to the number one spot of my fav singers. When you hear him speak you would not expect this majestic voice!! The guys got some stellar looks too! Eye candy!!

I used to listen to a little of this, a little of tat...then I discovered the world thats Dan Vasc, and it's all I listen to. He's so amazing!

I saw Phantom live a number of years ago, but I don't know that I retained the music thru the years. Hearing Dan singing this song really brings it back, and each time I hear this version, I love the song more. Your reaction was spectacular, the pure emotion he pulled from you. He is absolutely amazing, isn't he? How he's not a huge Broadway/West End star already is both a mystery and a huge injustice. Regarding him talking, and showing his lovely personality - there is a video he made to thank his subscribers when he reached - I think it was 10,000? Maybe more - that seems awful low for someone with so much talent! Anyway, he talks for a while on that, andwhat he says gives a real insight into the kind of guy he is, and what a brilliant attitude he has to both his career and life in general. He's like a happy little labrador, and you can't help but love him for that.

I just got done finally watching the 2004 movie Phantom of the Opera I much prefer Dan's take on this over the guy who starred in the movie. Dan just put more emotion into it I guess.... would love to see him star in it ... he'd be fantastic on Broadway❤
