This was the very first performance of the season. It was also the first time most of these singers had ever heard this inked heavy metal chick sing. Thus the amazed looks on their faces. That was a B6 high note. Floor sang this for Henk. She was the only vocalist who dared to sing an opera song for Henk. Henk's mother used to sing this for him as a child.

If you can find the whole Henk Poort show you will see that none of the other singers knew of Floor. And they were stunned by this her first performance.

Tim Akkerman did from earlier days, and Floor knew one of the female band singers from her schooldays.

But more than that, Henk said that he would be truly surprised if anyone sang an opera aria for him! And Floor was the first person to sing. She nailed him on this as you can see, plus she stayed true to the original composition of the song.

I know Floor doesn't "rehearse" any kind of choreography, she just feels the music and moves, does a windmill or whatever when she feels it in the moment, but watching her live performances I noticed two of her mannerisms. One, when she touches her head and softly pulls her hair back: uh-oh, brace yourself, because something incredibly emotional/baddass/powerful is going to happen. Two, and I love that one, when the song is almost finished, she closes her fist and makes a movement "wrapping" the song and all the emotions in her fist. Usually happens at the endo of a meaningful song and she's happy about it, like this one.

If I am not mistaken, this was the opening number for the whole season, so imagine being the other singers on the couch, thinking that you will need to go after her on this episode and be compared to her performances all season long. 😉

Ha! Your Henk moment! That was awesome. lol. This show made me love Henk. I knew he had a great voice, just never really knew the 'real Henk'. Zo'n nuchtere Amsterdammer die houdt van een geintje. Love it. Floor blew them away with this at the first episode of the season. They were like: How the hell can you top this!

when Floor did a tour through the netherlands with Henk that band where backing. oh yes Floor told they are realy good. Also a must is Henks version of the sound of silence he performs for Floor. its a mix of the original and of Disturbeds version.

You were at the epicenter of this, so we are all surprised you didn't feel the collective thuds of every Netherlander's jaws hitting the floor (pun intended) after seeing this performance! All of the seismographs in Europe certainly did! And while she's talented in her own right, please spare some sympathy for Emma.. she had to follow this!

This "Vilja song" is from the Austrian composer Franz Lehar's operetta "Die Lusstige Wittwe" (the merry widow). This was the first song of the season and first time for the others to hear Floor. And the rest is history. (and fuck with these distracting live chats 😠) ⛄👍

Well... it is a stream bits video which means that I cut out a section of earlier live stream and turn it into a video as best I can. The chat is a part of that as some of it part of the reaction itself. This is not the common way I do things but I went through all Floor performances of "Beste zangers" in this very live stream. It can not be helped for these reactions. My apologies.

@@VikingReacts i just don't like live chats in general (no offense to you at all). They just distracts the reactor and the audience. We are not interested in your chatting with your friends. We are interested in only your reaction and your opinions. This is easy to fix. First: greetings with the friends and all the other involved. Second: pure reaction without watching the message wall. Third: Closing chat with the all involved. That's that. 😅👍

If you will have some thing great also from the Netherlands then I advise you to react on Direct and Kensington in the latest live concert in the Netherlands before the pandemic. This is after Queen at the Aids concert at Wembley and Nightwish Ghost Love Score at Wacken the most epic live concert I have seen. De Vrienden van Amstel live with Kensington and Direct.

Wat kan ze zingen hé die meid🇳🇱🥰🇳🇱 FLOOR is a soprano, with a range of more than three octaves D3 to F6, her singing style varies from opera to screaming and grunting. Mostly she sings in English, but she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Very special ... She's just a super girl. Nobody can sing like Floor.🙋🏼‍♀️😘

@Patrick Wieland Dutch folk singers are known to listen to opera that's all. Like Hazes, he adapted many opera tunes for his songs like he did english football hymnes.

Oh this was just a single stream because the video of that day got blocked. This was the first reaction stream I ever did. I'll learn. Don't think I will live stream every song I react to. These Beste Zangers videos are all snippets from that stream. Regular reacts will be normal videos as you are used to.
