Viking Revolution Beard Kit Review! Amazon Deal? 

I gave this kit to my nephew for his birthday in May! He has never used products before and has had issues with itching and shaves his beard off when he can't take it anymore... He ABSOLUTELY LOVES it! He says he has no itching, he's now doing on line research learning about bearding, says it's softer than its ever been. So I agree. Great gift for someone starting out or decent product for someone on a budget.

A bit late here, but I bought this kit 2 weeks ago and I’m in love! It does everything I need and small portions go a long way. It came with the 5 oz shampoo and conditioner, so when I run out I’m grabbing the big boys. Thanks for this review!

It's nice to see the bearded guru did a review and gave honest feedback for a company that got me into the beard game. Your absolutely right this stuff isn't the most impressive especially when it comes to oils and balms. But they do have a wash and conditioner that will get the job done. I'm actually thinking of throwing them back into my shower routine so I don't go through my higher end stuff as quick. Anyone else looking at this brand they do have other great products for the skin that work and smell great 👍🏻

I think this kit is amazing for a new beardsman. I’m with you on the idea that other companies need to get on the box train. Yea, a Beard Octane box isn’t going to be $20. But I think it would help a new customer get into their products. When I very first started I had no clue what I needed. Going through individual products on a website felt overwhelming. A box would’ve solved that and I wouldn’t have had an issue spending the money.

Oil and balm are ok but like you, I really enjoyed the wash/co wash to the point where I didn’t buy anything else until I was totally out of both then upgraded to a more tenured company. This was a fun review, I bought that kit and am going to try growing my beard out a tad. I was looking for guidance on how to properly use these products and that's what landed me here. Congratulations on having a child on the way.

I can testify that I have used the Shampoo/Cond combo for 3 years now. I use both of these products in my hair and full beard on a daily basis and its made a noticeable difference on eliminating flaks.

Great Review! This kit and Beard Club were my first experience with beard products, they worked well enough but thanks to all of the reviews I have moved on to better products.

This is the first product line I used after my first company I was using, Billy Jealousy. I still have some of their oils,balms, and shampoo/conditioners. I agree about being a good starter brand. Even though i dont use these anymore, as i have found products i like more, still would totally recommend this way more than some of the other product lines I've tried. P.S. I love the beard wash (i have the sandalwood scented wash). I like the scent but it fades away after i step out of the shower which is good because i wear cologne. I love jojoba oil, but i wanna use it with another oil so i bought the unscented viking revolution beard oil. I have sensitive skin so i think this would be a better oil option other than just using 1 carrier oil

Good review of this set. I completely agree with you and Sam about the boxed packaging. I also agree with you on the wash/cowash scents. I love the clean and refreshing ones that don't last when I leave the shower. This is a nice set to maybe give to a new beardsman to get their feet wet with.

It was a good starter kit for when I had a short beard about 1.5 inches. Their oils are ok, bay rum balm was my favorite. I still have the brush, scissors and mustache comb. Now that I have a longer beard and have gone thru several products I can spot the difference between the more costly products and theirs.

Started my beard journey a couple months ago (well, had a short beard for years but now I'm letting it grow). My beard is about 1.5 inch long so far, it seems to grow rather quickly compared to other people (I did trim it a few times on top of that to keep it nice and even). I didn't buy the kit but I happened to buy the beard oil and shampoo + conditionner for starting out, bought them because they were affordable, had good natural ingredients and had good reviews on amazon. So far I'm quite satisfied with the shampoo and conditionner, I agree with you about the "fresh" feel, it really feel like it's taking all the beard products buildup and dirt away. The beard oil on the other hand seemed fine until you mentioned that it made your beard harder to style. I'm actually struggling a little to make my beard look the way I want, so now I'm thinking it might be because of that beard oil, I'd definitely need to step it up a little and try something else to see if it makes a difference. Too bad, I just order a new bottle as my first one was almost empty, but at least it's not bad for my beard and I can still continue to use it before going to bed when I don't need to style my beard and use something else in the morning.

Ive had this exact kit for a while now and it was one of the first products i got. I agree with you its a great starter kit! I dont like the balm at all but still really like the wash and co wash and the oil has become my night time only oil. I only have one butter and no matching oil so this oil works perfect at night

I see you say that the beard wash is a stripping wash but i have heard others say they use it daily or at the least use it very frequently. I've been using this for quite some time being i bought the 17 Oz bottle. Lol. I only use it once a week but do you think it's ok to use everyday or every other day?

I was really expecting these to be garbage products. I have seen them advertised on Amazon before, and I didn't even bother clicking on them. Glad they aren't really bad or filled with silicones thought! I always guide people to Dr Nicks, mention some other good ones, and this channel! Then I tell them what I regularly use.

I purchased Mountain sandalwood oil. by god man it was so fragrant that mo coworker 7 feet away was repulsed by its intensity.....with just 2 drops. I got the 3 pack from Viking and it is just right. Just the right amount of fragrance.

Great review and that's what I thought about this company. Probably not a bad company but I already spoiled my beard with awesome products and thought this just wouldn't cut it. Does this stimulate beard growth?

Honestly I've been growing my beard for about 11 months now and guys at work have asked me a lot about what I use. Viking revolution is my go to for everything except balm. For balm I tell them rocky mountain barber club balm. A couple of the guys have picked the stuff up and all have liked the product

This is definitely good for a starting beards man. I started with a box similar to this about a year ago that I think I had seen on scuba's RU-vid called the beardova kit. At the time it was perfect because it came with a comb and brush and oil and balm and even a straight razor which was pretty cool. I never use it now but at the time it was a nice cheaper start to get my beard journey goin.

I have people that asked for my opinion all the time, but they usually don't end up following through. As you probably know I recently became a Barbu Barbudo, so I try to tell guys to start with the sample kit. I hope that will spark their interest and they will continue to do research and see what works best for them. I want guys to support a company I'm really passionate about, but I understand we are all different and being to pushy can be a turnoff. I believe your channel is the best starting point for any beardsman and it will lead them to video like this one. It would be much easier for me if I had some of your business cards. Just sayin'

The person I’m giving this to is actually an old beardsmen, but I don’t think he ever knew about all the beard products out there; he just strait grew his beard and never used anything in it. I think this would be a good thing so he can start taking care of his beard! 🧔🏻

I recently ordered Viking Revolution Beard Wash and Conditioner and I love it! The feel and smell was amazing to me personally. My wife and kids loves the feel and smell, (yes I asked them to feel how soft it was and how it smelled haha.) Now my 4yr old daughter hates peppermint smell so she said it stinks daddy haha I also ordered the brush and comb combo. I like them both, but, I love the brush the best. I think I prefer a brush over a beard comb personally. I also ordered the Bay Rum Beard Oil and I like it. I personally love the smell of Big Red chewing gum, it smells just like that to me personally. It felt good on my skin and in my beard. I don’t think the smell lasted real long, or maybe it’s just because I was wearing it and eventually got use to it? Anyway I personally enjoyed the products and will reorder most likely. I have a Bay Rum balm coming in the mail. Can’t wait to try it. But from this review their balm is more like a butter than a balm? Did I understand that right from the review? I hope so cause that’s what I want a butter not a balm, but, they don’t sell the butter.

I've had a goatee for a year or so, and this month I've decided to grow out my beard. I've never done anything to my beard, and I found the "sandalwood" kit on amazon. My wife hates the smell, but the kit came with everything I need to get my beard healthy. So far I"ve only washed and co washed once, and my beard felt pretty good the next day . However, I do find the oil isn't usually enough to keep my beard hydrated the whole day, but, I work outside in Texas, so that might be part of it. Also, what Dan C said about the balm not helping the styling aspect is very true. The balm helps, but even with my "scruffy goat" type beard, it's not enough.

Have you done or what do you think of a comparison video on using individual oils? Like buying a bottle of Jojoba, or argan, or Vitamin E, etc. just just by themselves.

I feel duped as I purchased the kit with the comb, brush , scissors, unscented oil, and balm. Not anywhere on the box does it say made in china, mine says manufactured in Florida. I did purchase the beard wash and conditioner separately and that box does say made in china distributed out of New York. So is it just the wash and conditioner that’s made in china? This is my first time purchasing beard oil, I will definitely be checking out more of your videos for recommendations! New subscriber!

My first kit. The wash and conditioner are fantastic for their scent. I use the unscented oil for my tattoos (leg and arm sleeves). The balm is gross....the sandalwood scent was so strong I had to take a shower immediately putting it in. The only reason I don't still use them anymore is so I can support small american companies....and I have found better quality.

I have a Viking revolution Sandel wood the set wash and conditioning washes good true fact does the job although I haven’t tried the oil and balm thanks for the answers what’s the best beard oil cause I’m running very low ? I used viking shampoo and conditioner. Idk if it really helped to grow my beard but def made it feel healthy and soft after a shower wash. Do you have a video for polished gentleman? Curious about them.

This was the first wash and conditioner I bought to see if it really makes a difference over regular shampoo and conditioner. It was ok. I have moved on to Scotch Porter, Co-mmand, Luxurious Bastard and Fable (haven't tried Fable co-wash yet... Trying to burn thru ALL the others! Bought too much too fast, darn sales)

I received this kit for Christmas & have used it over the last week. Loved the wash & conditioner. The oil & balm left my beard very oily. Adjusted the amount used but my beard & skin would not absorb it completely. 😫

Well, to me these kits are like starters. Either you get it for yourself, or you might get it as a gift. What those basically are - door openers. Try it out and it might open the door to the beard game where you wanna up the ante. I bought mine on a tipsy night and boy oh boy, it has become a religion. By now i have a freaking weekly plan that tells me when to use the various things you can do to accomplish a nice and healthy beard.

Sounds like a great company for people on a budget, or someone just getting into using beard products. The wash and co wash seem like they'd go great with Mackinaw.

I know that you posted this video three years ago. But I think its a nice start kit for a new beardsmen. Like I had a coworker that wanted to regrow his beard, and I recommend the beard brand Mad Viking Beard Co. And they a great beard brand to me and plus they have been out since 2013. And I think you try an a review on them for your channel.

This company also makes "growth vitamins" and I'd like your opinion on those. I'm 38 and a first time grower nearing an inch of growth and am generally happy with my beard, save for some of the area under the lip. But, genetics, whaddya gonna do? Anyway, doo these vitamins help? Are they effective? Safe? Nonsense? I'd love your opinion.

My complaint with VE is their communication. I have their unscented oil and folding comb. Love them both. Was going to buy the full set of oils and balms with a discount code. The code didn’t work. So I reached out via FB, both a direct chat and on their page. It was two weeks later they finally replied and told me to check my messages. There wasn’t one. I think I’ll stick with a company that will actually communicate with customers.

I just recently got it snd after 1 day I've noticed less tangles and softer hair already 3-4 days looks and feels way better, girlfriend says the sent isn't really noticeable.

Could you possibly do a video sometime for us that like to make our own beard oil on how to make the scents last in the oils, I’ve had grave before shave and beard octane and those scents last through out the day but can’t seem to get my scents to last I’m using both fragrance and essential oils and using the 3% recommended dilution

I really love the clary sage scent, however, with their oils, it makes my face break out with eczema pretty severly. I really love that clary sage scent, its kinda like a fruit loops smell. My goodness.

These were my first products I tried.

new to the Chanel and subscribed. I grow facial hair slower than most around me, but I want to know how to get your beard. I know mine may be shorter but the look and clean shape is what I want. I am at the scraggly faze where my mustache is long (by my standards) but decided to turn up and curl. I want a smooth groomed beard like you instead of this 3 - 4 inch pubic hair growth on my face.
