This is such a a great show. It’s a shame it’s not that well known. The show deserves so many awards from acting to set design, costume design, music & the writing. I’m sure I’ve left lots of categories off the list.

Travis acted his heart out and made Ragnar such a believable character, no one in this show came even close.

Lot of work made us love the character, the acting is one side of it, the framing, the SFX, the music, the vfx, i remember when first i began watching, the eyes color changing was a powerfull way to make you feel and anticipate the spiret of ragnar, and the up comming events. The show is made for Ragnar character no doubt.

You could tell that when Bjorn “changed his mind” and Lagertha and Ragnar looked at each other, that they knew their little boy was broken. At that point Lagertha did not want to leave, but her head was telling her that the pain she was feeling was not right and she had to do this for her boy because he had changed his mind. At that point, Lagertha and Ragnar were still in love. But watching her leave turned Ragnar into a monster. He truly lost himself as well as Lagertha lost her peace, while Bjorn was still pushing on as he didn’t know what was going on and how his life was going to change drastically. Not only did the story begin here for Ragnar but it also ended. Stay humble

Jax Teller and Ragnar Lothbrok my 2 favorite TV characters of all time

I started this show about a month ago. I got to season 3 episode 4. Then my mom started to watch it because I introduce it to her so just because I wanted to see her reaction as I was continuing season 3 I went back and watched all the season 1 and 2 again with my mother that's how you know that this is a good show if you can re-watch episode you just watched two days prior

The moment where Ragnar says that maybe they will never see each other because one will go to Heaven and the other to Valhalla because the Christian God forbids murder (even though Ragnar doesn't believe in gods or at least has doubts) just breaks my heart. Ragnar in the series is a true atheist and a true believer at the same time. Like me. Therefore, as a Catholic by blood, but a believer in evolution, a person with Catholic thinking and family values, I sit for friendship and love between people. One of the touching moments in the entire series. I soo f*ckin love this guys.

In hindsight it’s interesting that Ragnar almost missed out on Bjorn’s adult life because of his need to have many sons but his first son became his greatest heir!

After the series i acquired some of Ragnar's personalities including talking,acting and walking... Viking had a huge impact on me never loved a series like i did for this one

Ok ill say what needs to be said... Ragnar fkd up. He gave up on Lagertha and allowed her to walk away with Bjern in tow. He wanted the goofy frog-face woman because she was a "princess" and he craved a feeling of status, but once he made his choice things were set in motion. At that point he made his bed and he could never go back. There was a moment he experienced in France where he "saw" his family on the shoreline. He saw them as they were when they were humble farmers. He realized at that moment that he once possessed a perfect life. Unfortunately, his ambition had already changed the course of his fate.
