Nice review. Some complain that the vikings blade razor with the gold platin turns ugly with time. Have you experienced that with any of your vikings razors? 😊

I have started to notice a bit of discoloration and buildup. However, I know some of this is due to my own laziness/neglect. I have been dropping the ball on proper maintenance lately. No excuses.

yea this would be the worst razor to give to a new wetshaver if not worse than muhle r41 the vikings meiji just has way too many variables adjustability & safety bar/weird open comb the worst of all worlds but I got a question being that its been a while since you made this vid you still using it? and is that problem that everyone seems to be having with the blade curvature noticable?

Greetings, I have been using it with the weekly rotation about 1X a week since this video. I have not noticed issues with the blade curvature. It still seems brand new minus some aesthetics. I hope this helps.

I have one issue with this razor and its huge!!! It does not stay at the same setting during your shave. It really needs a clicker like a fatboy! It would be a perfect razor with a clicker!

I just got my Vikings Blade The Emperor as my old DE razor broke. I love it so far, except for what you pointed out with the adjustment ring being loose if you adjust it at all after closure and your first setting adjustment. Not sure why, but glad to know it isn't just me. I haven't had it come "loose" while shaving, just odd. If you want to adjust during a shave, you must open, close, and adjust. Other than that, I really like it.

The whole point of a shaving video is to see and hear the whiskers being shaved off in real time. Not sure why you did it in fast forward with no sound. It defeats the purpose.

I bought this razor and I think it is terrible. It feels cheap and has a made in China feel all over it. This razor is literally the worst of my 15 razor collection right now, and I own a 12$ van der Hagen.
