You have to give major props to Ubbe's actor for taking the time to study and replicate Ragnar's mannerisms. The movements he makes, the facial expressions, etc., they are all spot on Ragnar.

Ubbe is excactly like how his father wanted himself to be , a family man , a farmer , a capable warior and viking and thats it , no higher purpose or ambition , no greater and rotten power , Ubbe is how Ragnar should have always remained , Ubbe is the season 1 Ragnar !!!

Of all the Ragnar son Ubbe is the least ambitious one, he's the one who's humble enough to lower himself and take the power as Ragnar predicted.

I love how the heir of Athelstan and Eckbert is befriending the heir of Ragnar. Bjorn may be the eldest, and may take after Ragnar in many ways, but Ubbe is the one who has fully dedicated himself to achieving and protecting his father's dreams.

Your video points out so much like when Ivar says "Nobody is with you! Everybody is with me!" and then it shows Ubbe with the 3 kings army chanting his name... It is so powerful! Like when you point out the similarities between Ubbe and Ragnar. When they say "Do not hesitate!" or when they call out to Odin... These are small bits most of us can't even remember but putting it together in this incredible video makes it all clear. I love this video so much that I can forgive you for being a GoT character.

The holmgang against the Dane king is what sold him to me as a character. Björn is clearly Rollo's, Ivar is a psychopath, Hvitserk is delusional, and Sigurd is dead. On top of that, Ubbe has proven to be a stable leader. Militarily and politicaly he has accomplished more meaningful things for his people than his brothers did. Ubbe is the true heir of Ragnar.

I wish Ubbe had been the one to go with Ragnar on his final journey instead of Ivar. With how much Ubbe looks like Ragnar and some of the parallels they put between Ragnar and Ubbe, plus how Ubbe wants Ragnar's dreams, I think it would have been so fitting to have him go with Ragnar and be there as he died. It would have been like the torch was being passed on from Ragnar to Ubbe at Ragnars final moments.

People argue that Ragnar ”chose” Ivar, and everytime he does something horrible they quote ”be ruthless.” But I doubt that Ragnar meant that Ivar should be ruthless and cruel to his own brothers. Ubbe represents Ragnar the farmer and family man. That's really what Ragnar was, at his core. He didn't want land and power for himself..he wanted a better life for his family and his people. Ubbe has remained true to this. Bjorn represents Ragnar the explorer, Ivar represents Ragnar the conqueror...but Ubbe is the one who represents Ragnar's essence.

Vikings big issue in season 5 was it lacked a central character. I think season 6 could end on a high note if it centers around Ubbe.

Ubbe Lothbrok of all Ragnar's son he is the one most likely like his father. The real reason I say this because Bjorn Ironside is more like Rollo. The difference is Bjorn talk less and fights more just like Rollo did/does. While Ubbe has his father's mind now many will disagree and say it's Ivar.. That's not true and not what I meant.. Ivar the Boneless has Ragnar's battle strategy mind. But Ivar is a evil kind of leader who don't gives a fuck about his men. While Ubbe knows what's best for his people and how he will earn his place as King. I'm sure Bjorn Ironside will become King and Ivar the Boneless will strike him down. Because who ever sits as the King of Kattegat will be killed someday.. Bjorn never lost a battle and he never will I think that whenever Ivar kills Bjorn.. Bjorn plays dead and wait for the moment to strike back when Ivar is close to him. Eventually I have a feeling both of will die anyway one way another. Because my puchline is that Ubbe Lothbrok is the true heir of Ragnar Lothbrok. He will become the best version of what his father Ragnar Lothbrok was! It made me also clear why Ivar attacked his brother he will die with Bjorn. Many believes it's Ubbe who's gonna die and not Bjorn.. But deep down I think everyone knows that of all sons Ubbe looks most like our Ragnar! This new season that is coming may have secrets leaked in the last season.. Remember Rollo was telling Bjorn about he had a thing for Lagertha. That Rollo said to Bjorn that he is his son and that he and Lagertha are his parents. Honestly we will find out in the upcoming season but my guts tell me it's true. Ragnar is that kind of man who will never kill or harm his family. Even if Rollo bangs Lagertha a week before Ragnar's wedding.. So Ragnar marry Lagertha and she pretend the child is Ragnar's. If it's true or not doesnt matter what matters is that Rollo said it to Bjorn.. So to be honest that's really a hint so far we shall see, what do you think about this?

I love Ubbe so much! And I love the respect he has to his older brother Björn! He's closer to Ragnar than Björn, but in my opinion Björn is the rightful heir to Ragnar. They both are the reincarnation of their father. The other brothers are not really important for me, because they did nothing important for the vikings, especially Ivar. Björn defended his fathers home from enemys (Ivar). Ubbe made Ragnar's dream come true (wester lands).

I wasn't big on Ubbe but hes the best parts of Ragnar without the Wonder lust . He wants to fix his Country first then worry about expansion to other lands . Bjorn is truly the real Heir to Ragnar but hes done and seen enough with his father he doesn't want that responsibility . Bjorn still wants to Sail to Foreign lands as he says when Ragnar returns from his 7 or 8 year self Imposed Exile !! New Countries to see people to meet and to make friends for Trading . He gets to do some but finds friends are harder to find without an Army behind you . Yet I think as hes approaching middle age he still has that urge to travel . That leaves level Headed Ubbe to bring the country together and Kill Ivar and the Rus Invaders . Team UBBE !!!!!!

He is technically the rightful king of kategat if you think about. Ragnar ruled legitimately and aslaug was his wife and queen so after ragnar left as the oldest son of aslaug after her death he's next in line. I know in those times it was different and if you invaded a land and killed then it was yours. But speaking in terms of heirs ubbe was the rightful king
