Virtuosic.... The accuracy with which those notes were played is truly impressive! A little too fast for my taste as it makes following the melody difficult, but the skill on display here is something to behold

This is not an easy etude to play. Bravo! Only a player with exceptional technical skills can play it this well. This is a piece filled with string crossing, chord shifting, scales, etc.

Please record all 12 Etudes by Villa-Lobos on CD. Not many decent recordings exist of these great pieces except for Barrueo's. You're fantastic!

Amazing chops! But-the scales are 16th notes, not 32nd, and it is marked "Animated", not "Prestissimo". also, I have never heard anyone play the middle section twice.

you have probably never heard anyone play the repeat because they don't have the stamina to do so, because it does repeat the middle section

There is no repeat in the score, at least inn the original publication, although it must be acknowledged that the original is full of errors, and does not include some changes Segovia made.

It's an etude. It is intended to develop technique. This man had mastered the composer's intent to train the specific techniques using this etude.

What does this even mean? More musical? He plays with rubato, dynamics and vibrato. He got complete control and has a good tone. I don't what you can expect more from a player.

Uniform tempo! He plays too fast in the runs. He needs to be more consistent because fast is not better.

Uniform what? The max eschig edition score has 5 tempo changes before the first repeat. If you’re referring to bar 29, I agree completely, a little flow before the ebb in bar 30 would be nice but the acceleration here is quite out of touch with the overall dynamics of the section.
