In Kerala , India we make same dish, we use bay leaf to fill the mixture..many times we add jack fruits in the mixture, can't say how much tasty it is, vct Kerala ,God's own country for such excellent dishes..

hello grany ...mai toh hairaan reh gaya hu ..itni umar mein bhi kitni saaf suthri tarike se ...itna jiyada mehnat karke aapne yeh sweet dish tayar ki hai ..maan gaye ...sabse achchi baat toh cleanliness ka hai ....boht hi clean tarike se sab kuch kiya hai aap ne...i love u so so so very much granny ji. i wonder how nice it would be to get to live with u granny....in the same house n use the same kitchen ...only me n u granny...LOVE u so very much granny.

grandma, you have so much patience. Those earthen pots and pans are long forgotten.It is a long proces but once it is mastered those rice muffins can be made easily. However the process has to start early in the morning while the rest of the world is sleeping.

Don't be fooled by the simple-looking coconut scraper. That is very hard to use. Anyway, thanks once again for this lovely new video. More power to your Mom's and Grandmom's cooking!

Lovely recipe for traditional steamed coconut rice cakes. Palm sugar and coconut always bring out the best in these sweet delights. I love how you improvise without having to use cake moulds and a proper steamer with rack. Using coconut shells and natural big leaves to steam certainly adds a unique flavour and aroma. Life is so much more fun and meaningful when we learn how to get to basics and make do with what nature has endowed on us. 😘
