Very informative...my maternal ancestors were from Cerne Abbas and nearby Buckland Newton. Several years ago - prior to it being remodelled - we spent the better part of a week at the New Inn using it as a base for our exploration of the area.
@@taffystravelvideos It was called, The other side of the lake. It wasn't a professional film, but it went on to win awards at film festivals. We filmed in Abbey Street in Cerne Abbas in 2015. A really beautiful quaint village. I wrote the order short story called, Lost Love. An independent film maker in Dorset made a film out of the story and called it the other side of the lake. We used Osmington Mills for smuggling scenes. It was my first time in Dorset as I live in Ireland. It was a ghost/ love story. There us a trailer for it on RU-vid. I played a part in the film. I even got to see the Cerne Abbas giant.
@@taffystravelvideos You're welcome. The BBC filmed one of Thomas Hardy's short stories there in the 70s. It was called, The Withered Arm. I went to our film premiere in 2016 in Sturminster Newton. While there, I payed Cerne Abbas a second visit. Thanks for your interest.
The bible describes many individuals as giants. When the sons of God (angels)come in unto the daughters of men,and they bore children to them.(giants). They are not fullly humans because of genetics mix. 👋
