I noticed that the host was correcting them now, pointing out that the earbuds were not hearing aid, etc. When people are aware of what exactly they are reacting to, It makes a video much more satisfying. I used to get frustrated that they were left in the dark when taking wild guesses. It's nice that they get additional explanations now when they see something for the first time. Raeen's answers were amazing, some photos were hard to identify, like the first one with Polish women - they looked very generic - or the one with a German man who looked more Dutch, IMO. Raeen has a talent for getting the right answer, he should try his luck with a lottery ticket. :-)

I didn't know, that i have to wear a toothbrush moustache as a German. Hitler was btw an Austrian, not a German.

Two ideas for the channel: 1) Pick a good video representative of the countries you have more subscribers more, and show it to them, so they can know who is watching them, from where. 2) Whenever you serve them a foreign dish, show them a couple of pictures from the previous videos you showed them, with a picture of how the "average" person looks in that country. Best!

I love Babu's reasoning for not picking German, that made me giggle. I'm just happy Dutch was an option for once. We're not often on any list of any kind. And Raeen, super smart. Incredibly impressed really. Also, I recognized Japan because I've seen the stock photo before, that was rather amusing.

Not all Americans are white although many are. We have people that were from every other country on earth because for more than a hundred years we have taken in a million or more immigrants from around the world every year.

Even with multiple choice, this is really difficult. One guess is as good as another.

People in the northwest of Europe look very similar. Germany is such a big country you get regional differences. Dutch, danish and people from northwest Germany and British also are very similar (if you choose people with white skin). America is a hodgepodge of people from all over the world that there are no typical American people. But also European countries have had many immigrants for decades so their people are also mixed.

For the past 12 years I have been living, studying and working in very multicultural places, I have aqcuaintances from literally every corner of the world, I have visited almost all European countries, yet my score in this quiz was worse than Raeen's 😂 While it is true that there are certain physical appearance stereotypes for every country and most people you meet from there will more or less fit to them, there are also many who significantly differ. Sometimes I even fail to recognize people coming from my own country of origin, although it is a very small and not very diverse one (just like they confused the Peruvian guy for an Indian) 😅

One of the wild things about attempting to guess a persons ethnicity is that it encompasses a wide range of factors such as skin tone, skin texture, accent, physical height, body structure, mouth and nose shape, and the many features that comprise a persons face. Furthermore, most humans have ancestry/genetics that include some level of ethnic diversity. People with a large amount of ethnic diversity in their family can result in them having a wide range of various ethnic features from different parts of the world, making things even more complex. A great example of this is at 11:42 to 12:12, where they assume that because the man in the picture has tan skin, he must be from Turkey or other countries where such a genetic feature is common. However, this only teaches that a singular factor such as skin tone is not an accurate way to determine ones ethnicity, and that appearances can be deceiving. This is further emphasized by the fact that France, much like North America, is considered one of the most ethnically diverse countries in the world.

This sort of thing is hard, especially if you haven't seen many nationalities. I got a few, but some stumped me, like the first photo. Your standard Caucasians, from anywhere in Northern Europe, the British Isles, Canada or the US! 😄 Shows how preconceptions can trip you up. I think they did better than I did. Though I got the French guy and Dominican woman.

So awesome. You should do one with viewers sending photos if they are comfortable, and them guessing where we are from, and how old we are. Just average citizens in our countries, nothing famous, just us viewers. We get to see you all the time, but you rarely ever see us, your viewers.

Would love an episode where traditional dress from different countries are shown with a map/ globe so they can see where the countries are in relation to India. Would be even better if there is a simple explanation about A point or two regarding each of the traditional dress. ( what colour, veils, signifies, difference between single vs married vs widowed, child vs adult female vs mal , is it worn in modern times today, or on special occasions etc) A wedding costume and custom version could be done too.

There are Americans of every race and culture, we're the melting pot of the world. All of these people could have easily been American. Most of us are mixed with something else. For example, I'm German, Austrian, Native American and Italian. Probably more, this is just what I know. I'm 3rd generation American. My grandfather was born here but his father came as a 6 year old boy, named August. I've still got his sweater he used to wear every night.

Very good. I think I got about the same amount correct. The USA has the largest immigrant population in the world. While the majority is white. Hispanic, and African are nearly as large.

You should show them how ethnically and culturally diverse the USA and other countries are.

I guessed some by subtle cultural clues. For example, the woman at 4:09 had to be Italian from her relaxed, extroverted, spread-out body language. A Canadian would never allow herself to have such an "improper" attitude in public... Then the man at 11:33 was obviously mixed-race, African and Caucasian, and that would be more likely in France than in the highly segregated U.S., despite some remarkable exceptions like Barack Obama and Halle Berry. Talking about that, I was imagining their reaction walking on the human kaleidoscope of a street in Brazil, probably the most genetically diverse country in the world due to intense miscegenation of indigenous, European and African people, reshuffled over 500 years in random degrees, followed by intense immigration from all over the world since the late 19th century. The first question is really unfair as our country has people from all over the world and a person could literally be Polish/Danish/British or any combination of those. American isn't an ethnic group, it is blended and a nationality.
