It nice when cats show their trust by laying on their back. Funny thing is, a feral cat I've been feeding regularly since she was a tiny kitten does that... but from eight feet away. LOL trusts up to a point I guess but I'll take what I can get.

I agree. They need to know how intelligent dolphins and whales are. They have often saved lives and do recognize people. Recently a whale saved a woman (a marine biologist) from sharks by lifting he into her boat. A year later when she returned the same whale came to see her and actually gave her a ride on its back.

@@BestKCL - I saw it on TV (maybe BBC) but can't recall for sure. The woman was tracking the annual migration of whales and so returned to the same area the next year to continue her work. A man came running up from the dock to tell her there was a whale hanging around her boat. When she went to see she knew it was the same whale. They are identified by markings on their flukes that are like fingerprints. I'll see if I can find something about it on You Tube and if I can I'll let you know.

@@focu2567 there's not much mention of cats in actual hindu mythology The perception that cats are a bad omen actually originates from some of the European societies Which probably found its way in India during the british era You can find cats being associated with witchcraft and halloween in most of the westen world Inversely cats were associated with goddess of birth and fertility shasti in actual hindu mythology

That is harsh actually. I am sure there are many things you do not know and they do. Thinking that it is necessary for them to be explained anything a bit silly. You know Brits believed that their way of life and their knowledge superior to that of all the others, especially natives from outside Europe? These guys could tell you stories on that much better than most actual Brits. They believed them stupid, of low IQ, aggressive and mean (while it was them invading their land forcing them to slave for them and follow their ways). Do you think it is your place to tell people what to teach other people? Especially if it is not knowledge important to them? Do you think they will use this in pub quiz or something?
