@@reidellis1988 Nowadays zoo animals are usually rescued and can't return to the wild, their offspring are born into captivity and don't know the difference between the wild and an exhibit. That said, I went looking for your story of a beluga aggressively holding a trainer underwater and can't find one, I did find the 2006 Kasatka story from SeaWorld San Diego and Tilikum who killed his trainer at SeaWorld Orlando in 2010, they were both killer whales, Kasatka had a history of aggression and Tilikum was born in the wild. You should do a little bit of research before saying something that can be easily fact checked.

@@ll7868 If I was mistaken about the Beluga, I apologize. I can't find the story either. Maybe because it didn't result in a death. Intelligent creatures don't like being captives. That's one thing I don't need to fact check.

@@reidellis1988 I'm 51 too, that doesn't mean I can't research a subject before posting something I'm asserting as a fact. Nothing likes being held captive when they understand that they're being held against their will, that's why zoos are making efforts to make animals happy. I just watched a story of a group of orangutans who weren't eating because the zoo was closed down and the humans weren't there so the staff introduced the otters into their enclosure, now the two groups share an exhibit. Zoos, at least in 1st World countries, haven't taken healthy animals out of the wild to be placed in exhibits for a long time, the SeaWorld Orlando story had a lot to do with laws banning taking healthy wildlife out of their natural habitat. Most zoo animals are born in zoos under controlled breeding programs, in a lot of ways they've been domesticated because rely on humans, very few species born under those conditions would ever be able to survive in the wild after a couple generations.

Yeah, I am sure they have words for "whale" and "dolphin" in their language, but probably not aware of the difference between whales / dolphins and fish.

Good idea. Museums too. Science museums, art, etc. Maybe take them to see various types of industry or unique and interesting professions within their own country or nearby. At some point, this will turn into the Mr Rogers show 😁

I will double my comment. Buying a zoo ticket is sponsoring animal abuse. You have no idea about the conditions these animals are kept in. I can bet my arm, that Indian zoos are nothing else but animal torture. Not saying it is only India, pretty much any country in the world does not give two shits about animals in their zoos. Don't go there, don't buy your children tickets there. You are sponsoring abuse

@@snickle1980 American zoos as well as some European/Aussie/New Zealand ones are great. But I can count them with my hand fingers. All of the other zoos just profit from animal suffering. Don't tell me you are that thick to realize it

@@parapanofff Many zoos take good care but it is still like being in a gilded cage. It breaks their spirit. I was born loving animals and I remember when my dad and I were at the hyena jail... this was around 1961 or so and believe me the zoos were awful then. Anyway, the hyena was quickly running from one side of the concrete wall to the other. He would jump on the wall to turn around and go back and forth and back and forth while I watched through the wrought iron bars. I told my dad the hyena was playing and he said "No, he is going stir crazy from being locked in a cage alone day after day. Imagine how you would feel" I remember this like it was yesterday and it was about 60 years ago. Yes, many zoos try hard but jail is jail. As a side note, the zoos would sell salted peanuts in the shell and bags of marshmallows for you to feed the animals. The young me thought I was being nice to the polar bears and monkeys throwing them my marshmallows. I don't even want to think of the fairs that bring a poor old bear, lion or tiger in a small cage to have people poke at and tease. If you can please support Sanctuaries for rescued animals. Animal lovers... check out Anna Breytenbach, animal communicater, who mentally speaks to Great White Sharks 🦈, a black leopard, chimpanzees and other animals. She is amazing.

People in India, they don't even pay attention if they sit squish. Sometimes I was complain why can/can't they do that. My mother (born India) tells me they don't think about it. Everything they can manage it. No complain. They are not rich. Tell me you born USA (California) always complain. I didn't realize it. 🤷🙏🏼

I agree, but that doesn't seem to be the dynamic between the mysterious producer and these people he works with. It would really change the tone of these videos if education was the goal. The evolution and Astronomy related vids were rough as well...But what can be done, eh?

In fact even when the could eat humans like the orca (killer whales) they choose not to. Sharks that indeed are fish have no such compulsion.

I gave it some thought because i have nothing but spare time atm...The only way to really make that idea work would be to have a spin off channel, like "Tribal People Discover/Learn about" The idea might work fine on it's own , but it's not something that would mesh well with the current format.
