The people are laughing for a few reasons. They are glad to be alive. Then there is nervous laughter. The body releases stress in different ways, yawning, crying, and laughing, are some ways in which the body accomplishes this.
@@DanielHernandez-ki3ch , yes, that's why there can be mini baby booms after people have a brush with death. People want to celebrate not dying. So first some drinks to celebrate, then some drunken, unprotected sex, and ta-da, baby boom!
Please explain to the guys that the buildings in Japan, where many of these quakes are, are specifically designed to sway back and forth. This ability to move with the quake, keeps the building from cracking and crumbling causing more damage and death.
I don't think, that the channel owners do tell them such facts. It's the same thing with the first A-Bombs and the Northern Lights. They show them something, but doesn't explain it to them.
That is the newer buildings. I was in the 1989 earthquake in San Francisco. Any high rise built after can withstand some earthquakes. If it is big enough, even that won't help.
@@adc2327 As I said, the buildings that were swaying, and yet not falling, were purposefully made to withstand quakes. Of course if a massive quake, beyond anything recorded in modern history were to happen, then obviously the systems could fail.
I’m rather humbled and emotional at the moment . I know they are sensitive, compassionate , humble people . This video got to me . This is the first time I recall seeing Raeen with such gravity on his face and in his eyes and it HURT my heart . His look was so somber and heavy . I knew Babu would be his gentle , thoughtful, prayerful and grateful self and that’s still humbling. Sarru was serious and this time more “ grown up “ but Raeens facial reactions just hammered me . He’s more sensitive than some people know . His heart runs deep . I love you guys so much . ♥️🙏
I feel the same way. Then, I wonder if I love them so much because they connect me to my innocence before I have been so desensitized with knowledge and powerlessness and now I am inadvertently enjoying watching their traumatization with reality. It's been a very long time since I made supplication to what I hoped might be in charge. I'm torn. I'm a curious person insatiable for information. Now, I hope they don't ever see the 2011 tsunami.
So perfectly said! I just LOVE these gentle people so much! Some people laugh because they are naive or uneducated compared to most of us, but I think they are so wonderful and kind! I would love to spend some time with them!
They should see what happened in Japan of March 2011 when a Massive Earthquake hit just offshore of Japan. It also caused a devastating Tsunami after the Earthquake. This can happen often depending where the earthquake is and how strong it was. And to mention what happened to the Nuclear Power plant as well. A few reactors went into meltdown because of power outages and they couldn't keep the uranium cooled anymore.
Yes, those earthquakes shown in the video were some light ones. The real big ones (Sumatra 04 and Japan 11) were left out. Both earthquakes created a massive tsunami
I enjoy seeing these gentlemen very much. They are all such compassionate, true, honest souls. Raeen is a very intelligent, old soul to be sure. So many could take lessons on humanity from these men. Beautiful rich honey-colored drum Babu plays. Reminds me of the honey from my hives! You can tell music has been part of his life for a very long time. Bless them.
Their empathy is off the charts. They definitely have their hearts in the right place. Would be nice if you could show them what causes earthquakes, so they don't think God is angry.
Would have love to see Amman's reaction to this, too, since he works in construction. Might be interesting for them to learn how an earthquake occurs, too. They have learned quite a bit about natural disasters by now. Wonder what's still left. Meteorites maybe? Or just disasters that are not natural, but man-made!
@@theeveronever1554 it is the same as a regular earthquake, but it is harder and cause more damage. Buildings and structures that were already damage can end up crumbling or falling down.
I sleep for weeks in sweat pants and tops with my sneakers next to the bed because of after shocks. Just in case I had to jump up and run because of after shocks. At least I would be dressed! This was after the 1989 San Francisco earthquake.
@@nikoknightpuppetproduction369 Aftershocks are smaller than the main shock. The bigger the main earthquake the more frequent the aftershocks. Also the longer they will occur after the main earthquake.
@@adc2327 I know, they are harder and cause more damage because; In general, the larger the mainshock, the larger and more numerous the aftershocks, and the longer they will continue. This causes more problems and hardships. I wish we would not have the aftershocks, but they do cause additional harder problems in the end with loss of lives and destruction of property.
Skyscrapers (those very tall buildings) are designed to sway like that in earthquakes and that swaying with the earthquake helps to prevent it from collapsing. They sway because they have spring suspension systems under the building's foundation. They will even sway a little bit during very strong windstorms. EDIT: There are also rubber and hydraulic suspension systems. Maybe there are other types as well.
Oh wow, i did not know Japanese cars literally notify you of an Earthquake. They must have put in an alarm for an odd left-and-right oscillation between the wheels. That's pretty neat.
@@nateman10 the alarm sound, and after a few times of that, you hear the car squeak out a recurring phrase "de shin des", something like that. You can replay the video to listen to it. That means earthquake in Japanese
It's not from the cars. It's from their mobile phones. Those are automatic alerts sent to everyone's phones in the affected area. After 3/11 and the following hundreds and hundreds of aftershocks, a lot of us can't stand to hear those sounds anymore. It's almost like PTSD.
Can we talk about how 100% sweet Babu is? He prayed feverishly throughout the entire video out of care and concern for total strangers. We need merch that simply says "Be like Babu."
Thanks for you fantastic reactions over the year fae, S.W.Scotland ,wishing you & your a great crimble ,a fantastic Hogmanay & a year of memeories to come in 2022 🎄🎄🎄🎄
*I lived in Arizona for 32 years, and though I never was IN an earthquake, I felt the after shocks and tremors all the way to Arizona from California one time, which is scary. It was very slight, but I was camping, so paying attention to nature at the time. My cats felt it, too. Yes, I took my cats camping when I was younger. California is about 500-700 miles from Tucson, Arizona {which is desert}.*
i think the guys would be interested in seeing a video about how earthquakes occur, and how modern buildings in quake-prone areas are designed to move with the quakes so that they don't collapse. Raeen mentioned that their elders described quakes as the anger of the gods, so showing them the science behind the phenomenon would enable them share better information.
Because I live in a place where there is no large buildings around me I actually find earthquakes a bit of scary fun, almost like a rollercoaster ride...it's quite odd. Admittedly I instantly go outside my single storey house but once away from the building the sensation is pretty cool to experience. If I was in a city with large buildings or my house was surrounded by mountains it would be a completely different story, I would definitely not enjoy it. It would be good for the boys to learn more about how earthquakes are caused or about 'The Ring of Fire' in the Pacific, it's really fascinating stuff and shows there is much more to it than a God being angry.
I have faintly felt some very small earthquakes too while outdoors. I found it exciting but I sure as hell wouldn't want to experience a huge magnitude one, nuh-uh. I have also been in a simulator to see what a bigger one would feel like, wasn't too fun.
I live in an area where we do not get earthquakes but the tectonic plates move and cause an earthquake. When you hear of an earthquake in one area you'll probably see more. Also in poorer countries the building are made of brick many more people are killed also from land, mud slides that happen afterwards.
Good job guys, another excellent vid. I would just love for them to see how and why earthquakes happen. I think they would enjoy that kinda stuff so much, like why auroras happen, or an intro to the atom and elements.
Yes, indeed. It is high time that they get another scientific video. A good follow up for this disaster video now would be a technical video about why and how plate tectonics happen.
Let them react to "HOW A HOME IS BUILT - New Home Construction Process - Building a Home - How to Build a Home Builders" on the Ty the Real Estate Guy channel on RU-vid.
Yes these are from Japan where I used to live. The earthquakes there are quite real, and very frequent. The buildings are constructed to be able to sway in order to compensate for the shaking, but it is always very scary to experience...
Please show them a video about what causes earthquakes, that it's our earth is moving and changing, not just God's anger. They should know about the tectonic plates and their movement.
He asked how the tilted building would be dismantled. You should show them a building demolition compilation. Maybe followed by a demolition fails one.
I wish you would at least tell them the good news that some of those swaying buildings were earthquake proofed and no one was dying inside! The building is made to swing so it won't break apart!
Is there someone to look after these beautiful peoples mental health? It is wonderful to see their reactions to things we take for granted, but some of this is clearly quite distressing for them.
There was an earthquake here in Cali about 2009 or something. I was in the living room doing homework on the computer, sitting on a computer chair. It shook so violently that I rolled all the way to the dining table. It was about 10 meters away from where I was. Then, I hid under the table as soon as I stopped rolling.
@@01DOGG01 lol. I know both measuring systems. But I was born overseas, came here when I was young, then grew up here. Parents are naturalized citizens and my siblings are next.
I'm surprised the Alaska earthquake wasn't on here... it happened on the morning of my birthday... never been so scared in my life but thank God that no one was hurt or killed 🙏
Raeen, animals are VERY sensitive to earthquakes. As much as hours before they begin to act strangely and try to flee no matter the size. From an elephant to a small cat. Thanks for sharing guys.👍👍
Here in Washington the taller buildings are built on pads above the foundation with large springs since we have earthquakes and volcanos. The building here are made to shake and sway , the ridged buildings tend to cause more damage.
It's crazy what mother nature can do! I think it's so sweet that babu started praying for the!! Such beautiful people! This channel should do videos where they watch tsunamis and tornadoes and Volcanic eruptions.
I grew up in southern california not too far from San Andreas fault line and I've been through my fair share of quakes. I remember one we had in 82'my family was at my aunts house and she had a good sized in ground pool. The earthquake almost emptied the pool. Her concrete wall broke and fell in the yard we had roads crack there was pictures of dirt and dust coming offbthe local mountains and it reminded me of a dog shaking off dirt. Whole hills were cut in half as none side dropped like 10 feet and slid down hill. It was bad but luckily there was no deaths just injuries. People in that area were used to earthquakes and knew what to do in case of one. They even taught us in grade school what to do during earthquakes.
I believe I am here because by the Grace of God the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in San Francisco Bay Area didn't take me. Because a Sporting Event the World Series was happening I left work 4 hour early to be home. If Myself and so many had not left work early we would have been part of the Cypress Freeway Collapse. I will never forget that day. Make you think how tiny on this Planet we really are. Babu Looking Sharp Dressed again.
Thank God for the Battle of the Bay world series. So many people were watching the game the freeways weren't as crowded at rush hour. If you were in that earthquake like we were, you haven't forgotten where you were when it hit.
I witnessed that horror from Los Angeles. It took a little while for my brain to comprehend that I was looking at a double decker freeway that had collapsed. Then my brain had to comprehend that there were people on that lower deck and the upper deck was on top of them. This happened 5 years before the Northridge earthquake which also caused major damage to freeways. The horror of an earthquake is so real.
They are all so compassionate... I'm always torn when they see vids like this. It makes them so worried and sad, but they're not children to be protected from everything bad. We have earthquakes here, though nothing like in California, South of us. (Though there's always the big one for the PNW lying in wait.) But we had one at night in the 90s that made my apartment building sway; like being on a boat at sea. The whole building was making loud creaking, crackling noises. It's only 2 stories high, but it got quite a movement going. Very scary! That's worse when on river floodplain, built on sedimentary land, like our neighborhood is. May they never experience an earthquake.
I still remember watching in horror as the bridge collapsed in San Francisco when the earthquake hit in 1989. I had a small baby at the time and had to cuddle him to help with the pain of seeing those people fall to their death.
This is probably wrong to ask or even mention but can we start a GoFundMe for these guys? I absolutely love them and they are such kind souls. I would love to be part of them getting anything they could ever want because I know that these guys would help so many people many times over if given the chance with money. They would, I am absolutely sure, help everyone in their village with their good fortune.
Raeen reminds me of a young child watching a horror show, he is doing the peeking through the fingers thing, not wanting to see it but still having to look.
I heard them ask how would they dismantle this building. How about a video of how they implode the buildings to take them down. I think they would be amazed.
@@odonnelly46 , why would you want them to see such vast death and destruction? They are heartbroken over this video. Showing them some of the most horrific videos of human suffering ever captured, that's borderline sadistic.
Babu's concern on dismantling the building made me think about the demolition by explosifs used on high structures, buildings, chimneys aso , would be intresting for Amman also
They actually have seen it! They may not remember it, but there was a clip of a building demolition where a chunk of the building goes flying past people's heads. I can't remember which video it was part of but it's clips of people getting super lucky with close calls
I love these guys so much! I like seeing their reactions to short videos, but I would love it if we could watch them react to a movie, or be able to partly watch it with them. My suggestions are Jurassic Park (starring Sam Neill) or Battleship (starring Taylor Kitsch). Or perhaps The Shack (starring Sam Worthington).
I am so glad I don't live in a place where earthquakes are common. I have experienced ONE earthquake in my 31 years and it was a small one. It shook the house and that spooked me but it was over in seconds.
I live right between Palmdale California and Los Angeles California a major earthquake fault runs right between us When the big one comes which it could at any time pretty much all of Los Angeles will be destroyed
I lived in Tokyo during the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. In Japan, all buildings and houses are built to withstand earthquakes and it still killed over 15,000. If a 9.1 earthquake hit a less developed country it would've killed almost everyone.
for those who have never felt an earthquake, it is kind of like feeling the waves in the ocean moving against you, except your on dry land, its very weird and messes with your head, thankfully the earthquakes ive experienced were not very violent
I was on the 12th floor of a high rise building during an earthquake. There was no damage that I’m aware of. I live in earthquake prone California and in certain areas of the state, buildings have to meet earthquake codes to help prevent them from collapsing. Of course a big enough earthquake could destroy anything but having the codes makes a big difference and minimizes the destruction.
These guys should know about the advancements in structural engineering that allow buildings and bridges to withstand earthquakes and other natural phenomena. High rises are designed to shake and move to shed the stress/energy caused by an earthquake.
the only way to get out of a big building like that is in a body bag there is no other way unless you want to jump I've never watched a whole video i'm usually have it on in the background but this one is so cool.. maybe they should do a volcano one..
I think people laugh after an earthquake out of nervousness. I've been in a few, and once one starts, you never know how bad it's going to get. It's literally deciding every second it goes on how to react. Is it big enough that you need to get to a safer place in case things start falling? You might sit for a few seconds and wonder if it's just going to be a small one. But every second, you are trying to judge just how bad it's going to be.
Japan has the most earthquakes in the world, but the Tsunami that follows some of these earthquakes is just as devastating. Did your team ever watch the Ultimate Weather channel video named: Japan Earthquake Magnitude 9.1 | Japan Tsunami 2011?
