Although being factually true is something useful, it is not always necessary. I'm glad that I don't have some fairy right next to me and whenever I hear an information it starts correct things or elaborates why it is theoretically true but painted from the wrong angle. Sure we sometimes end up believing in wrong things and this might even ruin our live. But that is also a sign of freedom and autonomy. Aren't there even rain storms of glass (well, silicates) on one of the outer gas giants? -Meteorites! They keep wondering about the craters on other planets. Maybe there's footage of simulated (or even real) meteorite impacts, and they could be shown images of impact remains here on Earth (for example the Barringer crater in Arizona).

Another is the irrigation systems they set up in Saudi Arabia (i think?) using the deep underground water table to dig wells, redistribute the water, and reclaim parts of the desert for use growing crops. @lajoswinkler
@lajoswinkler 3 года назад
Venus surface temperature is nowhere near 800 °C. It's around 475 °C. Jupiter is not gaseous. It's contents are called _gas_ because that's a planetology name for two substances - hydrogen and helium. It does not mean state of matter, but chemical composition. Only atmosphere is actually gaseous. It gradually transforms into so called "supercritical fluid". It's not liquid. There can be no liquids down in those depths because temperatures are enormous, much higher than critical temperatures of hydrogen and helium - thus they can not liquefy.

@michaelbradley7529 3 года назад
@@joanmassat8938 I don't agree on that point. Debating over false information is fruitless at best. To hypothesize needs actual testable ideas. All these things need a basis in reality born of facts.
@joanmassat8938
@joanmassat8938 3 года назад
@@michaelbradley7529 they know some facts. They will find out more later. Learning to hypothesize without having a physically testable hypotheses is often an exercise in logic. None of us ever knows everything there is about a subject and there are a great many things we cannot even begin to test easily due to the sheer number of variables involved. I have observed that those who feel they often have enough facts to understand a lot tend to miss details. For example, they may not to deduce things from patterns. For example, one of them noted that all the planets have craters. Logically, one might further consider this fact given that many planets appear inhospitable to life and thereby conclude forces from outside these planets are responsible. I feel that these individuals learn much faster than many students who cram down facts prior to asking questions. They are smart and I'm sure they will be given the answers soon enough.

I'd love to see how they'd react to the largest mountain in the solar system, that being Olympus Mons, which is on Mars, and that its even bigger than Mount Everest, and that Jupiter has constant unending storms, just all the different amazing things about these planets. I feel the need to teach these men everything we've learned over human history, and they teach that to their friends and families. I'm glad you do this for them, all so that they can learn. Keep up the great work!
