Thanks so much for the cast! Thanks for emphasizing that you should make villagers since DonBob felt he doesn't need more than 80, hehe. He prefers to have an army hehe :P I've started (or at least I believe so) to kill off villagers a bit earlier since this video haha. I've seen videos of Beasty where he says he has 140-150 vills and then he can just send in his smaller army and it gets replenished fast because he has so many productions, but in this case, we were pushing and it takes a long time for them to arrive. I should have killed 'em off to 110 or so because I had so much resources anyways and those vills didn't do much help :P Thanks for all the tips from @Aggrocrag24; my friend has improved as well. I don't play Japanese, so I can't help him too much, but he started to watch other games and tries to improve all the time. Since we were new at 2v2 and DonBob was new to the game, we thought we needed a plan and our plan has been for him to have the frontline with samurai and cover our siege and my units, and I mass streltsy with some bombards. He places castles when we push. But we're kind of bad at pushing. What we've become better at is defending, but we need more practice obviously! I feel our initial build order is good though. And Bob is experimenting between different builds. 1TC, 2TC FC and so on. Same with what units he's suppliments his army. I'm leaning towards changing so he will build more mounted samurai. I should have 20 knights too, and raid them while we fight, especially their traders. I think this can push us to start winning more at gold.
I used to try and copy Beasty with the amount of villagers, but I just do not have the APM to make 140 villagers work. Float too many resources. I think for me 110-125 depending on the civ I am playing is the sweet spot. Learning new civs and trying different builds is my favorite part of the game!
😅😅 I think we were in luck that they had a seemingly beginner too in their team. Our games have become better and better everyday, even tho we lost all our games yesterday xD
