the problem is that stamina also recover: let's say you have 0.5 when the villain sword fires, and fails for lack of stamina. Then, while the VS recover, you also recover stamina to, say, 1.2; at that point, if a wooden sword fires just before the VS, you would be again at 0.2 when the VS fires, and would fail again. The only way is daggers, or massive stamina regen.

He realized it, said it at the end. Probably hammer, impractically large swords and pans would have worked, because they cost too much stamina for a single swing. They'd never fire. But the wooden swords and vampire blades broke the strategy the way you described it. Probably you'd also need to test how much stamina regen you need for the VS to always consume it all (so that non is left for other weapons) without running out of stamina every other swing itself. This would mean you need to know how much it spends with the extra attack speed augments it'll get and then add or remove bananas & other stamina regen items accordingly. VS build could potentially be strong, but probably really hard to pull off. Maybe sifd will give it an other try in the future and be more ready for it, when it happens. :)

Banana was also a big problem, sudden regen of 1 stamina caused other weapons to fire. Nice run though!

Daggers are actually _really_ bad here. If the opponent has shields, the daggers keep attacking into them and draining your stamina so the big damage hit from the villain sword never happens. You can see this happening at 18:20.

Daggers are actually the best option here. If you watch where you timed it you see that his other weapons are stealing the villain sword hits. If he only had daggers he would lose all his stamina but since they have the same attack speed it would give room for 1 or 2 villan hits since it would be the only option that would allow a hit.

You could see 4 wooden sword hits, 3 hungry blade hits, and 3 lightsaber hits which could have been villain blade hits instead

@@RainbowKittyy Maybe that is true if he could have gone for daggers only. But you're basically forced to go for some non-dagger weapons if you want to actually max the damage, since the odds of hitting enough daggers is way too low otherwise.

The only way villain sword can work on late stages is to have daggers, dragons or other weapons that dont use stamina. Cursed dagger was the right choise. If you have one or two weapons that consume stamina you'll need to find a way to recover it. Weapons like the hammer or the big sword are too expensive and they take too much space from your inventory. Anyways, there should be another way to improve it but i can't figure it right now tbh. Was a nice run :)

Villain sword works best as a function of attack speed and should be played to consume exactly 1 stamina per second, or 1.xx depending on topaz in bag. If it's too fast it'll honk and open up other weapons attacking for more honks. If it's too slow it'll also let other weapons attack which can lead to honking. The goal is to, from 0 stamina, have the exact amount of stamina needed to attack by the time it attacks again. This can get trolled by daggers hitting shields though, and also banana is your enemy.

man I tried going shaman berserker and wanted to go a dagger build but give each dagger an elephant rune so they would each trigger the stun and it would create a recursive effect, but I was unlucky enough to not get a single one, I wonder if it's a good idea though edit: I love the intro btw don't stop! it gives your videos a lot of personality :D ♥

The issue is the daggers: they will attack into shields and eat away your stamina. Without them, only the villan sword and verry occasionally another weapon uses the stamina. Ideally you have a bunch off heavy stam using weapons, the more the better they use, that way they never attack and your villan sword allways attacks (hammers are the best, maybe a hero long sword too?)

i think the villain sword should be used with wolves from bersekrer, because the wolfs count as melee damage and don't use stamina if i remmber, which would make the sword actually viable

Upgraded swords (for even more dmg on the inside) and higher stam melee would be best with the villain sword. Then heat and/or knuckles if berserker (in the one spot) because that gives you crit (if it gets to hit). Otherwise the shields kill your stamina regen on dagger hits messing up your hit order.

hammer is nice, it hits once and oos rest of the game, problem is 1-1.2 stamina ones that manages to weave in a few hits here and there with regen

VS doesn't need that many weapons around it to be viable. One to two weapons feeding it is usually enough for it to make a difference.

I think hammers and brooms are decent alternatives. But what was lacking was attack speed. If you made your sword attack faster then it would be the only thing using stamina

I dont actually play backpack battles, but isnt the rock a weapon? So daggers with no stamina requirements but also rocks would help buff the sword too right? And they let you get all the stars filled in. Am i wrong? You could also include the forging hammer if you play the blacksmith character, pretty sure its zero stamina too.

@@PsientistG yeah so then you could actually fill the slots on the villain sword right? It's just that the rock would only be used once, but that's actually better cause then they don't use up stamina over and over. I think that's the play to properly use the sword

Brass knuckles kind of weapon... or lucky pig hammer dagger storm, with nothing but bananas in extra spots and an early gem chest for topaz for even more Stam regen to counter the weapon mass.... but sure you can't play every run with the idea to get it. Unless your like me and tend to always buy the gem chest before round 8 or 9 for money and usefulness

Disagree with banana being same as health regen. Banana negative is offset by its way to buff other fruit and other fruit buff banana.

When I go villain sword I end the run at 10 wins. It is good for a while but falls off incredibly hard in survival mode.

I guess you shouldn't go for the damage this high in this build, you also need attack speed on the villain sword and some extra passive stamina regen, other weapons just burned stamina via desync, it doesnt really matter that it consumes 0.7 stamina/sec if there's random sword that hitting precisely 0.1 sec sooner or smth like that

Honestly, from what little I know of the game, villains sword + lots of daggers + hammer would be broken. Daggers get a free swing anytime the hammer stuns, so free dps. Also box of riches, mostly bc you would have so many weapons to slot gems on.

easy just use dagers they use only 2 spots and hawe adwantage of cost only 4 Gold insted of buying 7 or 8 Gold wepons you can buy blood amulets to gain and stack wampirick and the same applies to poison if you buy flasks and on top of that they hawe 0 stamina usage
