Well if you're not liking the songs so far then you might not like the album overall. That is what I'm getting from you right now. You might do the same thing as what other fans did with screamworks and tears on tape - listen to it and love it a year or two after it comes out.

@@HeartagramGirl30 I know you're one of his most loyal fans so thanks for your advice but it won't help as I've already done what you're suggesting. Before I decide whether I like a song/album or not, I listen to it umpteen times. It's the style that his music has evolved into, which I don't really like, either lyrically or musically. That's why I also don't like Zetra, for example. I just think it's a shame that Ville doesn't continue to develop in my eyes. Not only is he a great musician and singer, but he was once a great lyricist. But that seems (in my very critical opinion) to be over. But like I said, that's just my opinion and it's ultimately completely irrelevant.

@@tinkaward6921 I didnt suggest you anything, you are sounding bitchy and it pisses me off. What I told you is the vibe i'm picking up from you. You are insulting him when you say "He was once a great lyricist" "He's not developing in my eyes" .... if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all. What Ville is doing is coming into his own with his music and if you can't see that then go somewhere else. Go find other artists to listen to. He's not gonna conform to what people like you expect him to be or expect from him. He makes the music he WANTS to

Nevertheless, I would like to give you two well-intentioned pieces of advice at the end. 1. the Internet does not forget. Deleted comments have already been read and remembered. 2. (and this is more important): try not to take criticism of Ville and his music so personally. People like different things and you don't need to protect him, the man knows very well what he is doing and "who" he is exposing himself to. As I said before, I don't mean to attack you personally or criticize you in any way, but maybe it will help you in future discussions ❤

@@HeartagramGirl30 Sure you can ask but I´m not sure if I can put it in words. I´ll try😅 It was just the first thought I had after hearing it for the first time. I had heard the other song many times at that point and somehow it felt not so deep or something. But when I started to really get in to the lyrics, I was hooked and like I mentioned earlier, now it´s my favorite of all the VV songs. Not sure if this makes any sense to you

@@TB-180 I got what you said. I think thats what people need to do in order to understand the song, read the lyrics :) Someone is seemingly insulting Ville saying they don't like what hes putting out so far or said that hes not developing

@@HeartagramGirl30 I honestly can´t understand how anyone can not like Ville´s voice or the music he gives to us but one of those people happen to be married to me😅 I don´t take it too seriously, you like what you like and if you don´t like all the things I like, so what. It´s nothing away from me. @mrsValo, we can be happy to be touched so deeply by Ville´s songs🖤

Yes you did that knowingly but of course it is always the most comfortable way to blame everything onto others. Just like Bam blames V for his problems with drugs and booze. Always everybody else is to be blamed but you of course not.

It hits a bit differently when you realize he also recorded all the instruments on his own due to the limitations of recording during covid lockdown. That might also be a part of it being "pulled back" to a degree.

Not all of the songs are soft. Ville tried his best. And i agree with Mary due to covid lockdown Ville only had himself and he wasn't able to get a group together and he played all the instruments by himself. I'm a big fan too but i love his album :) He even said that he hears the songs how he hears them and plays them. Just because HIM is no more, doesn't mean Ville can't create music. Most solo artists work by themselves anyway

Ville said in the later HIM years he felt a bit limited to always having to pull off a rocker/metalhead. But he's influenced by, say, Black Sabbath as much as Depeche mode, you can't take it from him) He's always been sentimental, but people tend to become more sentimental and sensitive as they age, and you can hear that in the music. Moreover he's in a much better and healthier place now, so there was no chance we'd get something as heavy and mature as Venus Doom, unfortunately 🥲

@@aleniha933 I agree with you, not every fan understands that Ville is not in his 30s anymore and they don't understand that its up to him what he wants to create with music. I don't blame Ville for not really wanting to be a rocker anymore and you are right. I am happy that Ville is healthy has a good mindset and has a woman who he loves dearly just as she loves him. I'm happy with any songs Ville makes no matter what style or era it sounds like. I appreciate Ville for who he is and for being true to himself. I'm grateful and fortunate to go with him on this new chapter and I would do it all over again 😊💜
