Omar is there anything wrong with shooting in Aperture priority in general? I must admit I do it all the time really. Especially since cameras allow you to set your maximum ISO values and just compensate through shutter speed. I don't feel like setting these myself would add much.

are you using the fasting AF settings on the camera coz at 2:27 the focus shift sucks for video shooting like that. normally it should be a smooth transition. Can you try using a slower setting and see if this ugly transition is still there? Thanks.

I was looking at reviews for the viltrox lens and found your video. Man, super clear image. Great quality content, as well. I have a pretty similar setup with an a6400. I'm a new to this videography thing and quite clueless. After your video, I'm buying the lens, but I need to master the camera part. I bought one and two weeks latter I noticed one of the inside lens elements is cracked. I never really took it off the camera and it has a stress crack. I’m sending it back and I’m disappointed because it was very sharp.

How does it compare to the Sigma 16mm ?

Might have to pick this up when I get my 6400 later in the year.

Nice vid... 👍 really needs advise here. I own sigma 16mm f1.4 and really satisfied with the result but i feels it's a bit heavy, big and to wide. For daily use, all arround and if i only want one lens is this lens really recommended? Or any other 3rd party competitor? Thx 😊👍

Hi Omar, as always great video! I am planning to buy XT3, my first interchangeable lens camera. Now as far as the lens selection is concerned, should I go for XT3 body-only + 16-55 f2.8 or XT3 body + 18-55 kit? Could you please suggest, considering performance and price! Thanks in advance.

Had this lens, major hunting issues. Also , when in burst mode my camera would often freeze and hang. This was on my a6400

If you have both the Sony and Fuji version of the lens, could you check the aperture while filming? Does the Sony version change the exposure smoothly while the Fuji version have that jerky exposure changes when changing the aperture? I hope this comment makes sense.

How is the continous AF performance of this lens BTW?

I'm pretty sure there is a full frame version as well too...

Pity about the colored bokeh and purple fringing. And the flaring/ghosting. Otherwise it looks liek an excellent lens. Though I would prefer a clicky aperture ring. I think I'll skip it and stick to the Sigma 16/1.4. Even though that is big and a bit too wide.

I love your channel, your take on photography and your sense of humor. But on another note, please, please let RU-vid know that we want to be able to choose to get e-mail notifications again. They turned them off with no notification - or at least I didn't get any notification it was going to happen.
