Just subscribed, Loved your Review on this lens in the NIkon Z mount. Great to see the lens performance on full frame most have not shared. That being said, I have seen other testers customize the side button on the lens in camera which makes this lens even more attractive. I plan to use it on full frame for sure.

Thanks :) I rarely ever use any custom function buttons on a lens and I really don't use them much on the body either. Anyway, I had the Lens Fn1 button disabled in my Z8 because I never use it, BUT I just tried it and I can confirm it does work (I set it to AF-On and also tried Playback and it works fine), so that's a bonus. I'll add a note to the description and pinned comment about this.

I will be using the fn or custom button as the zoom button to preview and for chimping in camera without having to move my hand once my head is in the viewfinder. Great way to check for sharpness as well before and after the shot

Nice vid, perhaps I missed it, but does the z8 automatically revert to DX mode in the cam?

Thank you. And yes, it does. Once you mount the lens the Z8 will be in DX/crop mode.
