Great. You’re welcome. I’m glad it was helpful. We hardly got any snow last year so I only used it twice. That’s typical though. We can get plenty of snow or it can be not much at all. I guess that means my machine will last as long as I need it though.

I realize I am watching this several years after you made this video but, some things don’t change. I have purchased the 550 pound lift model. It is just like yours except it may be a little heavier. I had the same problem you had of getting the mower wheels onto wheel brackets. My mower would just drag the jack on my smooth concrete shop floor. I solved the problem by ripping a 1x6x12” into a wedge shape and using them as a small ramp. When I lower the machine I wait until it is a couple of inches off the floor and put a small 2x6 in the space under the tire. Then release the tire straps and let the mower down all the way and drive out. I never could get the tires in or out any other way. Now, it works fine.

How is the Eye AF compare between the two?
@ThePhotographyHobbyist
@ThePhotographyHobbyist 15 дней назад
The Eye AF and continuous AF on the X-H2 is noticeably better than the Z7 II. I have a Z8 now and while the Z8 is probably better than the X-H2 regarding continuous AF/tracking, I don't recall having any problems with the X-H2's AF for what I normally shoot (which sometimes includes concerts/shows while on vacation, tracking a person on stage). The X-H2 AF was very reliable for me...and the Z7 II has its known limitations regarding continuous AF/tracking, but I expect Nikon will fix that in the Z7 III, like they just did with the Z6 III.

Hi, I found your blog (nice pictures btw) and then clicked the link to this video. I am a beginner and I'm looking for my first camera. I'm trying to decide between the X-T30 ii, Z50, and A6400. Which would you recoommend?
@ThePhotographyHobbyist

It depends on your needs and wants but overall the Z 50 would be the most comfortable camera to hold if that’s important to you. The Fuji might have the best image quality overall, but not drastically different. If you don’t need to shoot lots of action photos I think I’d go with the Z50. If you do need better tracking autofocus for fast action photos maybe the a6400 is the best option and there are many lenses available for the Sony.

@ThePhotographyHobbyist Месяц назад
I’ve driven several rental cars that had CVTs and hated them. Mushy/soft feel and ‘oozy’ forward even when you put the pedal on the floor. With the CVT in the WRX, it’s totally different and it pulls hard. If you hadn’t told me it’s a CVT it would take me awhile to figure it out. Using the paddle shifter in the steering wheel gives you distinct ‘shifts’ too and if you downshift fast to a lower ‘gear’ it’ll make you move forward in your seat. Maybe some still complain about it, but my experience is that I’d be totally happy with the WRX CVT.

Thank you for your reviews! Man, I'm really having a hard time deciding between the Panasonic G95 with a 12-60 kit lens and the Nikon Z50 with the 16-50 kit lens. I would like to have the weather sealing of the G95 and the longer focal range would surely come in handy as well. Yet, from what I have seen the Z50 appears to produce much better JPEGs and has superior low light performance. I also tried to compare the two models using the images on your website, however I am still not sure. Would you say the weather sealing and longer focal range of the G95 kit is worth it over the overall better image quality of the Z50 kit? How would say do these cameras compare when it comes down to out of cam JPEG quality? Thx in advance :)
@ThePhotographyHobbyist
@ThePhotographyHobbyist Месяц назад
If you’re not often shooting in lower light situations where you need a much higher ISO to maintain a shutter speed you need, then there’s really not much difference in the overall image quality…when you’re shooting near base ISO or not much above that. Also if you’re mostly shooting JPEG straight from the camera, there might not be as much difference as if you were shooting raw. The cameras do a pretty good job with in-camera JPG. I personally think the Panasonic handles better and like you mentioned you would get a better focal range using that kit lens, so unless you are really worried about higher ISO noise or you have some other reasons why you like the Z 50 better, maybe the Panasonic makes more sense in this case.
@MrHirschkeule
@MrHirschkeule Месяц назад
@@ThePhotographyHobbyist Wow, already a reply :) Thx! My plan was to have good looking JPEGs to share with family and friends and to edit the RAWs later on at home. I am currently using an old Lumix FZ80/82. Sadly the poor thing is already noisy at the base ISO of 80. Though, its a tiny sensor with only 1/2.3"... Recently I started using DxO PureRaw to process my RAWs. Boy does it do wonders to the noise and muddy image quality! So maybe my best bet is to get the G95 use it, be happy, and for those challenging ISO situations, treat the RAWs with DxO. Maybe one last question regarding the focus performance of the cameras. I plan on shooting mostly city and landscapes. Rather typical travel photography, if you will. Though, the occasional human or car of interest passes by and wants to be captured. Have you noticed a significant improvement in autofocus with the phase detect AF of the Z50 compared to the DFD autofocus of the G95?
@ThePhotographyHobbyist
@ThePhotographyHobbyist Месяц назад
@@MrHirschkeule the Z 50 will do better with moving subjects and also with continuous focus when shooting video but if you’re not doing lots of that and most of your subjects are city/landscapes and slower moving objects, I don’t think you would notice much difference.

Nice. Older “screw drive” AF lenses for DSLR cameras should be getting a lot cheaper as the days go by. Only the higher end bodies and the rather old bodies had the AF motor inside the camera body to drive those older lenses that don’t have their own motor inside the lens, so those type of lenses are less useful for most people which makes them less expensive. :-)

I saw this today after I brought this home. Hope they have fixed all this in the interim -- but I have already noticed another problem with the handle. When you unfold the handle to put it in the operating position, two spring backed pins on either side are supposed to engage to keep in place. One of the pins barely touches the hole it is supposed to go into. My previous lawn mower was the same brand, and it served me well for approximately 24 years. But it is very clear Ariens is also falling victim to the modern trend of quality nosedive. Whether it is Boeing or Ariens, it is the same issue. If I am the quality guy inspecting what I just bought, it won't be shipped.
@ThePhotographyHobbyist
@ThePhotographyHobbyist 2 месяца назад
For that issue with the pin that snaps into a hole in the handle, I’d use a screwdriver to move the pin around a little to make sure it’s not simply a bit crooked and therefore not poking out far enough. I think it’s sort of spring loaded but not necessarily a spring behind it, you know. Like a springy metal piece stuffed inside the tube with the pin that should pop out of the hole. Wiggle it around a little and it may get seated in better and pop out like it should.
