The YI M1 has only a simple trigger so TTL and more advanced stuff will not work.

Yes the Viltrox flash will support to be triggered as slave by another flash. The two slave modes are S1-fixed manual and S2 is compatible with TTL.

No, it only works as with a normal and no TTL because of the YI M1 which only has one pin trigger contact.

It uses micro 4/3 lens and works with almost all of them.

It's a really good camera, comparable with Sony alpha mirrorless series, it takes micro 4/3 lenses so plenty of upgrades available.

Yes, it works with the YIM1 (which does not have TTL).
