+NavinReviews ...There is a screw to adjust the element, to get correct focus at infinity. There's a ScrewDriver (and Allen Key) in the case. Use the Phillips Head Screwdriver, to adjust the Element! Very few Adapters are made for Nikon to M4/3rds, and even fewer, of the SpeedBooster Adapters. It's something about the Nikon Mount, and less demand for them. Many more are made for Canon to Sony Mounts, and given the price difference between Vitrox and Metabones, we are quite lucky to have these. I paid $75.99 on Amazon (US), and the Viltrox Quality is very high! For those that just want to adapt their lenses to Micro 4/3rds, a plain Adapter is available for less than half the price. K&F Concepts and Neewer brand also make plain Adapters for less than $25.00 their quality is also quite good. Be aware that you will lose all Auto Functions, but since people interested in using these are real Enthusiasts, this is not a problem. Someone mentioned a different version (below), but mine is "Viltrox NF-M43X 0.71X" The Nikon DX Lenses will work better! Also, I see a YT Video "How to Fix Speedbooster/Focal Reducer infinity Focus" by Aleksandar Roman. Watch it, and have patience. You will get there! A Great Website for Micro 4/3rds is www.mu-43.com ...Joe Prete
Yes, The Video Explains it Exactly, even though it is a Sony, THE DESIGN IS THE SAME. BE VERY CAREFUL, NOT TO SCRATCH THE ELEMENT, AND MARK THE POSITION VERY CAREFULLY. IT IS NOT HARD TO DO, JUST EXERCISE CAUTION !!! ...Joe Prete
How much time did it take you to learn how to use this Viltrox adapter on your Panasonic Lumix GH5 with the Nikon F mount lens, plus how many lenses do you use with the adapter? Thanks for your review. You made me very interested in this adapter based on your review. Please keep up the good work!
Very good video. Thanks. To make things very clear, I have one question: with a Sigma 18-35 lens and a GH5 (that i have not yet bought) and the Viltrox NF-M43X speedbooster, will the aperture information be visible in the viewfinder of the GH5? will the autofocus of the lens work? thanks for your answer.
There's no electricity in this booster so aperture won't show in camera and autofocus doesn't work. Also lens image stabilizers won't work with this booster.
I have the GH5 + Viltrox NF-M43X + Sigma 18-35 set up, How do you keep your subject in focus when moving around, forward and back when filming at a function at night?
Hey I have this old Nikon lens that has an aperture of f5.6. How much more light will this adapter be able to bring in and around how much will the f stop reduce from 5.6? Also regarding the aperture control on the adapter, it controls the aperture of the lens right? Thanks!
hi, great video! i wonder if you can help me out. what does the the appeature wheel on the viltrox reduce/ incrwse the apeature of the lens to? for example a sigma 18-35 1.8 paired with teh viltrox, what does it become?
I have this viltrox and using it with the AF NIKKOR 35mm f/2D and panasonic gh5s. When I turn the aperture ring on the viltrox adapter there's no change in light. Am I missing something?
I just bought the Viltrox adapter NF-M43X. Indeed it takes nice pictures with nice bokeh (I tried with the Nikon 1.8/85 mm and the Nikon 2/35 mm. But at infinity the lens cannot focus. Does anyone have a tip about this?
Hi Navin, thanks for the video. JUST encase no one else has said it to you already, you can adjust the infinity focus by rotating the glass on the Veltrox adapter until you find the right position. If you LOOK UP a guy called GERALD UNDONE on RU-vid, I think he is a Canadian guy, he goes into great detail as to the best way to do this.
Does it have any play? Ive been hearing and seeing tons of bad stuff on the ef-m2 version. from massive play to weird haze and extreme vignetting and infinity focus issues. since this is the nikon version, does it have any of this stuff?
@@navinr9558 ah ok thanks! And what is the maximum aperture you use with your lenses? For example if your lense is f2.8, do you also set the speedbooster at 2.8 then?
