He played in Daytona and I lived 20 min away in Deltona. We both graduated the same year. Needless to say his school and mine played each other quite a bit at that time and I was able to watch him play from high school all the way to his Hawks tenure currently.
I played against him high school and to prove to someone. I looked it up , I'm #30 on this high light reel for Deltona high. Naw I didn't get dunked on but I got a good view of his " UPS ". He still jumping out the gym.
This is awesome, I remember watching him in high school when I was in middle school. Then 15 years later we we’re both employed by the Orlando Magic, working sales events at the downtown preview center for the new arena we were opening. VC is a top notch person and player, best dunk contest ever.
Dude really lived up to the astronomical potential he showed in HS 🤯 looks like he could’ve been a top 10 SG of all time from these clips and went on to do it.
I had just moved from Texas and I didn't care for basketball until I saw him play. My cousins told me to buy tickets for the basketball game and we didn't have to go to class for the rest of the day, can you imagine that! The lines were out to the streets for regular people but students got our seats first and this is what I looked at for his junior and senior year. He averaged 7 dunks a game that were dunk competition worthy but was still a team player NEVER a ball hog! Half man half amazing Daytona Beach finest Vince Carter!
Winter park tournament i forget the actual name of it but when mainland came( 0:49 starts) sold out standing room only this dude packed gyms in 94 and 95 im from orlando and everybody wanted to go see this guy and T.T. Toliver
Old school 83 mainland senior this kid put us on the map.from the crib DAB.FLA and he's a greater person all ways giving back to the kid's and community.👍
6'6" - 8' wingspan - 45" vert plus TMac's cousin - his 3 ball was incredible for his athleticism - just lightning in a bottle - more jordan than jordan at a time everybody was trying to be like mike
I'm a huge UK fan and not really keen on UNC besides Jordan. But I have to admit I loved Vince Carter and bought his UNC nike jersey twice when I was a teen. It was dope.
The best part of Vince’s dunks is that he knew had to do all the other things better too when it comes to dunks. Hanging on the rim, last split second thunder slam, legs are always in a dope position, and after he dunk best pose or stare down Zion needs some lessons
At 5:00 would be anyone else highlight film - this guy was just getting started at 5:00 - best highschool highlight film of all time in my opinion - Vince was a BEAST
The only team to beat him in 94 was a team from deland fl they had two legends of there on rico king and Johnny demps vince will never forget those two guys he battled them alot in high school rivals
Rico and John were tuff back then many times we battle on the courts those boy's we're older than me . Deland had height and wasn't afraid of the height I want to say they beat them in a inschool game in the Dawg House
My strategy against Vince Carter teams would be everytime he dunked just have your point guard automatically go down court and heave it cause the whole team would be high five-ing after the dunks
This almost makes up for that lockout season of mist Vince Carter highlights follow Jesus for the ultimate highlights 7:48 that Olympics dunk foreshadowing I always thought thanks could block more shots in the NBA than he did this video proves it. Looking like he could have played center out there.
He used to play our school and many of my buddies thought he'd go straight into the NBA. Our schools basketball team had no support(they weren't that good) but when Mainland came to town our gym would fill up to see him play. We'd root against our own school. Lol
