“When Sparks Fly” is actually flawless. Gave me “Nikki” - Logic vibes with the dual-storytelling but this is a whole higher level. Every single bar connects and you can visualize the perspective from the gun and from a ride-or-die shorty. I’m speechless

So on ‘East Point Prayer’ he’s saying “fled to Atlanta” which I believe is a reference to something he’s spoken on before about moving to Atlanta for a short time around 15-16 years old in the aftermath of some trouble or situation he got into before moving back to California when he would begin working on music. The play into a Lil Baby verse just adds another level.

Yeah I had the self titled joint he did in my rotation heavy and I was ready for this release and he didn’t disappoint at all. Felt this album became a bit stagnant in the middle parts, slowed his flow down too much and kinda stuck with a formula for like 2,3 tracks. Overall the project was good. Self titled > 🤷‍♀️
