In this highlight from May 2007, "Reclaiming History" author Vincent Bugliosi discusses what he believes may have been Lee Harvey Oswald's motive to assassinate John F. Kennedy. Rather than acting out a personal attack against the former president, Bugliosi speculates Oswald may have viewed JFK as the "quintessential representative of a society for which he had a grinding contempt."
-----
Vincent Bugliosi, prosecutor of the Manson family and best-selling author of Helter Skelter, reexamines the assassination of President Kennedy in his newest book Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Evan Thomas, editor at large of Newsweek magazine, interviews Bugliosi on the stage of The Great Hall.
Polls reveal that more than 75 percent of Americans believe there was a conspiracy behind Lee Harvey Oswald; some even believe Oswald was entirely innocent.
Vincent Bugliosi, prosecutor of Charles Manson and the author of the number one bestseller "Helter Skelter" has spent 20 years investigating the assassination and its aftermath. "Reclaiming History," Bugliosi's absorbing and historic book - the first ever to cover the entire case - shows how we have come to believe such lies about the tragic event. Using the skills that made him one of the most successful prosecutors in legal history, Bugliosi has examined every conspiracy theory from every angle.
"Reclaiming History" strips the paranoia away from an event that changed the history of America and the world - The Cooper Union
Vincent Bugliosi received his law degree in 1964 from U.C.L.A. law school, where he was president of his graduating class. In his career as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, he successfully prosecuted 105 out of 106 felony jury trials, including twenty-one murder convictions without a single loss. His most famous trial was the Charles Manson case, which became the basis of his true crime classic, Helter Skelter, the biggest-selling true crime book in publishing history.
Bugliosi has uncommonly attained success in two separate and distinct fields, as a lawyer and an author. Three of his true crime books, Helter Shelter, And The Sea Will Tell, and Outrage, The Five Reasons Why O.J. Simpson Got Away With Murder, reached number one on the New York Times hardcover bestseller list.

I remember the day Kennedy was killed, and I still don't know what to believe. But I did become suspicious when Jack Ruby shot Oswald to death in the city jail, surrounded by cops. I was only a kid, but I remember thinking that something wasn't quite right.

Mr. Bugliosi said Oswald had " illusions of granduer" and he wanted to do something that people would remember for 10000 years. Yet LHO denied doing it. That contradicts Mr. Bugliosi's "motive", IMO.
@randlemcmurphy2896
@randlemcmurphy2896 6 лет назад
tom p maybe he denied it because he knew it would cause what it has caused. Mis-trust with government, a bunch of ideas of what really happened, no definitive answer , conspiracy theories, and people talking about it for years and years. If he admitted his guilt, the story would have lost interest quickly
@DexterHaven
@DexterHaven 6 лет назад
Unless he wanted to do it and get away with it. How much greater that would be in O's mind... The act, not the credit, say. Or to be found not guilty like OJ, and then confess once double jeopardy barred retrial. OJ could confess to killing Nicole today and not be tried criminally for murder, for example.
@JJ8KK
@JJ8KK 6 лет назад
LHO's denial of guilt, and the emotion with which he denied guilt, do indeed flatly refute the BS claim that LHO did it because he wanted to become famous. Such individuals not only do *not* deny their guilt; they proudly declare it to all who will listen. And neither would such a person take a chance of botching his opportunity by not taking his shot at the President when the limo was slowing down to a near stop, coming straight at him, on Houston, before it turned onto Elm Street and started accelerating away from him with tree limbs obstructing his view. But the fact that absolutely disproves the notion that LHO had any kind of motive to kill JFK was the fact that he was a Communist (ideals) _sympathizer_ . JFK did not have a reputation in Dallas of being an anti-Communist hero, who had a habit of threatening war with the USSR. In fact, it was precisely the opposite, and LHO was very knowledgeable student of politics. If he was a Commie-symp who wanted to go down in history as a noble assassin, then he would have killed some nationally known politician who was heartily embraced by the John Birch Society. Not Kennedy, whom the JBS viewed as "Wanted For Treason" for not invading Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. _Nothing_ that we know about Oswald supports the utterly irrational claim that he had any motive to kill Kennedy. He was completely innocent of the crime.

What he’s saying is we can’t know the motive unless spoken by the guilty party, and even then they have to be credible which Oswald was not. He’s clearly saying that based upon the evidence, the killing of JFK was motivated by the killing of the ultimate representative for the Capitalist system. He argues this by pointing to Oswald’s behaviours and words.

Maybe he thought he could beat the rap and wanted to give himself a chance to beat the charges in court. He was in police custody for only a total of 36 hours before he was gunned down by Ruby in the basement of The Dallas Police Department. A day and a half! That's nothing. O. J. In this clip, Bugliosi is seen bumbling and fumbling about LHO's purported motives for executing the murder of the century. According to Bugliosi, LHO had delusions of grandeur, was filled with hatred, and had a vicious, grinding contempt for the US Government--although Bugliosi admits that this explanation for a motive is far from cohesive. To defend his assertion, however, Bugliosi says that a motive isn't necessary to establish LHO's guilt and that the mechanics of the crime alone prove LHO's guilt. So let's see if the mechanics can be reconciled with Bugliosi's purported motives for LHO, merely by analyzing the timeline of the assassination. On 11/22/1963, at 12:15 pm or shortly thereafter, Carolyn (Johnson) Arnold saw LHO on the TSBD's second floor lunchroom eating lunch as she was headed out to watch JFK's motorcade pass by. Everyone at the TSBD knew that the President was scheduled to pass by at 12:25 pm (but did not know that the motorcade was running a bit late). [Would an angry, deranged assassin who was planning on shooting the President at 12:25 pm (or even 12:29 pm when his limo did pass by) be hanging around the second floor having a relaxing lunch at 12:15 pm if he knew that he had to be on the sixth floor shooting at the President within just a few minutes?] At 12:29 - 12:30 pm, the shots were fired at JFK, including the last, most accurate, and fatal shot. At 12:31 pm, Patrolman M.L. Baker with revolver in hand, accompanied by TSBD Superintendent Roy S. Truly (LHO's supervisor), rushed to the second floor lunchroom and found LHO walking toward a Coca Cola machine. Both Baker and Truly said that LHO was not out of breath and appeared calm and composed. LHO was next seen by Mrs. R.A. Reid, a clerical supervisor at the TSBD, who said she saw LHO walk casually through the second floor clerical office holding a bottle of Coca Cola. [Would an assassin with a vicious, grinding hatred for the US Government, who had just rushed up from the second floor to the sixth floor to assassinate the President, rush back down again to the second floor to have a Coke and immediately become calm and composed like no Zen master ever could?] Then, LHO was seen again several minutes after the assassination, walking out the front of the TSBD, by cub reporter Pierce Allman, who was looking for a pay phone. LHO pointed Allman to the direction behind him inside the TSBD, where a phone was located. Allman said that the man who told him where the phone was located appeared completely calm (although Allman did not learn until later that this man was LHO). Thus, if Bugliosi and the US Government's official story is to be believed, LHO,--who they said was delusional, unreliable, deranged, filled with hatred and vicious contempt for the US Government, and was extremely mentally unstable--just flawlessly executed the murder of the century in record time with military precision, seen by no one rushing to or from the scene of the crime, and at the same time, established a near perfect alibi for himself, appearing calm and collected having lunch before the assassination and a Coke afterward and then seen calmly leaving the TSBD after helping out Pierce Allman to find a phone. The only thing Bugliosi proves here is that the old adage about lawyers is true. When you have the facts, you argue the facts, when you have the law, you argue the law, and when you have neither--as Bugliosi does here--you blow smoke.

So simple, how Oswald changed the parade route, ordered military units to stand down, made the driver slow the limo down to less than 10 mph, fired the luckiest shots in rifle history, escaped the building without anyone noticing, shoots a police officer despite being that close to not getting caught for committing the greatest murder of the twentieth century, ran into the theater without paying so he could get busted for that, and still have the composure to call himself a patsy. So simple, how Ruby decided he wasn't about that mob life anymore, that he'd rather take revenge on Kennedy's alleged killer so Jackie wouldn't have to see him at a trial, turned the majority of the Dallas PD into a bunch of bumbling idiots, shot Oswald without an ounce of resistance from any of the 20 or so police officers in the room, and then while in jail confessed that he's apart of a larger conspiracy before dying mysteriously. So simple. Your government figured it all out for you. Go back to sleep, America.

Not true. The simplest explanation is usually the best. Unfortunately, the lone gunman theory is not even an explanation, much less a simple one. There is not one bit of credible or incontrovertable evidence that he did any shooting at all that day. Look at the case and you will see that. I don't believe in a conspiracy because it makes me feel superior, but it is the best and simplest explanation for the facts as they are known.

Wrong. A secret service agent named Mike Howard said he found an address book in Oswald's home and on page 17 was a title "I Will Kill'. A hit list from Oswald. An FBI agent, Nixon, Edwin Walker (who he probably did shoot) and John Connolly were listed. JFK was not. John Connolly's name had blood and a dagger in it. The other four names did not. Oswald got a honorable discharge from the Marines but that was changed to un-desirable when Oswald defected to Russia. When Oswald returned to the USA, he wanted the honorable discharge restored. The Dept. of the Navy, then headed by Connolly, would not do that. Oswald's wife said Oswald hated Connolly and Connolly was the target not JFK. It could be Oswald hit JFK in error trying to kill Connolly in the front seat. Btw, that page of the Oswald address book disappeared. Secret Service Agent Howard, who later taught classes at a community college, maintains his story. He believed Oswald wanted to kill Connolly in the front seat of the car and killed JFK. who was seated behind Connolly, in error.

bugliosi liked to have the floor to himself lol . no pesky CT to embarrass him . when interviewed by jesse ventura (his friend ) he refused to talk about the case on camera , i wonder what he was afraid of ? . he appeared once in a panel that included mark lane , he attempted to mouth the lie that when lane called helen markham that lane pretended to be will fritz , the tape recording has him introducing himself as mr lane an attorney investigating the oswald case . lane promptly reminded bugliosi of the LIBEL laws and bugliosi thought better of spouting his false allegation . he was undoubtedly a very smart man , but when it came to the jfk case his intelligence went out the window . this guy once wrote that THERE WAS NO CLEANING OF THE LIMO , he went further NO WITNESSES WHO CLAIMED THE LIMO WAS CLEANED , and further to that he said THERE WERE NO STATEMENTS IN REGARD THE LIMO BEING CLEANED . press reporters watched as the back of the limo was cleaned and they reported on it in articles in the paper . that also takes care of number 2 . i personally know of two statements in relation to the limo being cleaned , one by a nurse who said she was asked to bring a bucket of water to clean the limo , she said she would but with the commotion she forgot . the second statement was from a person who actually brought the bucket of water out . is bugliosi for real ? 22 years of research and he doesnt know this ? . he claimed in his book that oswald lied and tried to give himeself an alibi . bugliosi said oswald claimed HE HAD EATEN LUNCH WITH JAMES JARMIN AND HAROLD NORMAN . so where did he glean this information ? well from a snippit of testimony given by will fritz WITHOUT BENEFIT OF HIS INTERROGATION NOTES . this testimony is not only inaccurate but untrue . you see fritz own interrogation notes along with other notes taken by other people show that oswald NEVER said he ate with jarmin and norman , he merely mentioned seeing them at some point , oswald was recorded several times stating that HE ATE LUNCH ALONE . didnt bugliosi know this ? , of course he did after all he cited the interrogation notes in his book . so what we have here is bugliosi with a choice , in one hand he had will fritz inaccurate testimony (that the bug knew was inaccurate ) that appeared to make oswald look like a liar , and in the other the bug had the interrogation notes proving both him and fritz WRONG . have a guess what he used in his book ? yup you guessed it WILL FRITZ INACCURATE TESTIMONY . this is LN 101 , and that is NEVER LET THE TRUTH GET IN THE WAY OF A GOOD LIE . in LN land the truth is only relative to what the LN can earn from a lie .

Many witnesses in Dealey Plaza saw Lee Harvey Oswald climb into a Rambler Station Wagon getting away . But another Oswald is known to have walked several blocks right after the shots were fired, then got into a city bus, exited the bus shortly thereafter as it was stalled in traffic, and climbed into a cab. Bugliosi may be a good attorney, but he is short on facts regarding the JFK murder. Pretty good chance neither Oswald ( yes there were two - Lee or Harvey ) shot a shot that day in Dallas. No conspiracy theory involving Ruby can explain why he slept through Oswald's announced transfer time of 10am Sunday morning. Had LHO been moved then Ruby would have missed him. It was only luck that the a postal worker came in to verify LHO postal box and add to the questioning of LHO that his transfer was delayed. Ruby wandered over to the police station after wiring money at the Western Union at 11:17am, just 90 seconds before the transfer. That's not a very good conspiracy by the plotters. Ruby also took his favorite dog to the Western Union and left him in the car. Would a person planning to kill LHO do this? Very, very unlikely. the reason LHO took a shot at Walker was that he was (in Oswald's eyes) a fascist and wanted to overthrow Castro. In fact after LHO shot at him, Walker embarked on a nationwide tour to drum up support to invade Cuba, or at the very least overthrow Castro. Oswald subscribed to the magazines The Militant and The Worker, two communist American publications which regularly had speculations that the Kennedy's were trying to assassinate him (they were right - Operation Mongoose). Knowing that, and as has been stated by both Paine's and Marina, and his Fair Play For Cuba work, LHO loved Castro. He probably had that as a major motive.

I think it’s the Marxist dilemma in politics, which is that nobody is the perfect politician and therefore they’re expendable. How do the BLM and ANTIFA crowds react to the u er liberal mayors of Seattle, Portland, Chicago, and New York? They fucking hate them, and even attack them when they kowtow. I think Oswald, as a Marxist, would get a genuine kick out of people that idolize JFK defending him. This is a guy that killed a cop, then punched another cop before pulling out his gun during an arrest…then claimed police brutality leaving the theatre. I mean, consider the Roe v. Wade protest where buddy tries to ignite officers, light them on fire, and while he’s arrested the witnesses of that act yell for him to be released and shout police brutality. The Marxists are inherently self destructive. BLM is a great example of this, and the motivated reasoning used to defend blatant criminals is similar to that used to defend Oswald. Thomas Noguchi performed what has been deemed the most perfect autopsy in American history due to the attention to detail and multiple expert observers present. Present at the autopsy were Dr. Noguchi, Neurosurgical Team, Hospital Staff Pathologist, and consultants from the Armed Forces institute of Pathology as well as Forensic and medical photographers. The Coroner concluded the following: The Senator was shot at 4 times from behind his body. One shot missed him and passed through his jacket shoulder Three shots hit RFK. The Senator was shot at 4 times from behind his body. Wound #1 “The fatal shot”: Direction from Right to Left, slightly to front and upwards. No exit. Entered behind right ear. The bullet was recovered in fragments only and could not be matched due to fragmentation. Wound #2: “Through and Through” of right shoulder, with no deflection within the body - it went in a clean line from entering the back, exiting the front. The direction was Right to Left, back to front and upward. The bullet was not recovered. There were gun powder granules on the dermis. Wound #3: The “neck bullet”. This bullet entered Just below Wound #2 entry, entering near the shoulder blade (scapula). A“ deformed” .22 caliber bullet was recovered at the 6th Cervical vertebra (neck/spine). Direction Right to Left, back to front and upward. The bullet is marked TN31 by Coroner Noguchi. . Powder residue was found with heat and blast effects visible Every single witness to Sirhan shooting in the pantry placed the muzzle of the gun, in Sirhan’s outstretched arm, no closer than 1.5 feet in front of RFK. Coroner Thomas Noguchi has consistently stated publicly that he did not determine that Sirhan Sirhan shot Senator Kennedy. During Grand Jury testimony he testified that his preliminary estimate was the muzzle of the gun was only 1-3 inches from RFK. Later he confirmed this with tests. (Coroner's Report p. 40). After the Grand Jury testimony, the District Attorney rushed up to Noguchi and asked if he meant“ feet”, not “inches”. Noguchi answered “My goodness, it’s an inch, not feet, because of the black powder behind the ear.”[1] The fact that District Attorney John Miner asked this of Noguchi on the day of the Grand Jury hearing indicates he knew there was a serious discrepancy between what the witnesses were saying about where Sirhan was positioned and the scientific findings of the Coroner. I can think of two other reasons I think Lee Oswald killed Kennedy. One of them is merely speculation though the other one has a lot of evidence. Oswald definitely had mental problems, and combined with his bad influences made a lethal combination. But I believe his real mission was to use Kennedy’s assassination to gain Cuban citizenship and spark a revolution against capitalism. Recently, Oswald had been denied citizenship, so in his twisted mind, he thought killing Kennedy was the perfect way to gain access. Piecing together the puzzle, Oswald’s plan after shooting Kennedy was to board a bus to a mass transit station (his ticket found in the evidence). There he could board another bus that could get him to the border, where he could get to Cuba by boat or plane. He had enough cash in his pocket to do so. Then he could tell the Cuban officials, “You can’t deny my citizenship now. I support your revolution and want to be part of it.” That’s also another reason why I think Oswald left the rifle behind in the Book Depository. That way, lawmakers could identify his fingerprint, but they couldn’t arrest him because he had fled the country. They would put out a wanted poster, and Cuba would hear the news, showing Oswald wasn’t lying. The flaw in his plan was the mass panic in Dealey Plaza blocked the bus, so he hailed a taxi instead. By now police were everywhere, so he went back to his home to get a pistol to defend himself from capture. When he tried to find his way out of the city on foot, that lead him to JD Tippit, which lead to his capture. I believe Oswald said he was just a patsy in a last ditch effort to try to convince the police to let him go, so he could get to Cuba. However the evidence was against him. This plan was absolutely flawed from the start, and Oswald probably had mental issues if he thought this would work. If he had a better life, and had listened to the right people, history would’ve been a lot different.

@@9Ballr There were many more fragments and actual projectiles then has been made known to the public. I have over 112 Gigabytes of Printed, audio and video materials on the JFK Assassination...the beginning of any research must start with empty assumptions...instead of conclusions tayloring the evidence, evidences must produce the conclusions if we are to be correct with our results. We are told it was one guy with three bullets and no one else was involved...no one...ponder the thought...could there have been more? Perish the thought...really?! I am sharing some proveable facts with you, from some excellent sources...I have sited them all for you...some links are lengthy but well worth any effort. Good Luck! This is the story of a bullet - a spent, misshapen, but otherwise intact, bullet - that a Navy doctor said was found late at night, on the floor, in the back of John Kennedy’s limousine. No one seems to want to acknowledge it. Today, a majority of Americans assume the government lied about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. New evidence seems to prove they are right. Here is the story of the bullet - a spent, misshapen, but otherwise intact, bullet - that James Young, a Navy doctor, said was found late at night, on the floor, in the back of Kennedy’s limousine. He inspected it himself. The bullet was found by two chief petty officers who, during the autopsy, were sent to retrieve any skull fragments they could find in the limousine. They came back with three pieces of bone, and the bullet. The skull fragments were reported - but not the bullet. Years later, when reviewing a memoir he wrote in 1963, Young thought about that bullet, and tried to find some mention of it in the Warren Commission Hearings. To his dismay, he found nothing. In 2000, he wrote to President Gerald Ford to ask him about it. After all, Ford had been on the Warren Commission. But Ford said he knew nothing about it either. In 2001, two Navy historians interviewed Young who gave them a highly detailed account of the events of November 22, 1963, some of which he witnessed personally. And he mentioned the bullet. Recently, Dr. Randy Robertson, a board member of the Assassination Archives and Research Center (AARC) came upon Young’s papers at a Navy website. This was an exciting discovery. To understand the significance of this discovery, readers need to know that - according to the official record - only one whole bullet was recovered, the “magic bullet” found on Governor John Connally’s stretcher. And, agents found inside the limousine what is presumed to be two parts of one broken bullet. Numerous very small lead fragments were also found in the limousine, Connally’s wrist, and Kennedy’s brain. If close inspection of the bullet allegedly found in the back of the limousine were to show that it was not fired from Lee Harvey Oswald’s rifle, this would prove to be a threat to the official narrative of a lone assassin. Here, Robertson describes in an email how he came upon this apparently suppressed evidence: “I was surfing the internet and somehow stumbled upon the Navy Live website. I found the What Price A Rose piece [the memoir] and found it intriguing because although I had heard of Young I never knew he attended the autopsy…” Robertson is referring to excerpts of the memoir - none of which included the part about the bullet. But he delved further: “After that I found the earlier piece Navy Medicine and the Kennedy Assassination which contained the dynamite about the bullet… “After that it was detective work. I FOIA’ed the transcripts and received them and found out the actions Young had taken to find out what had happened to the bullet he had seen and corroborate what he had told the Navy interviewers. That led me to the Ford Library and the wonderful letter.” Robertson remains cautious about this discovery since only one witness corroborates Young’s claims - the petty officer who found the bullet. Below you will find Ford’s bewildering response. For the convenience of the reader, I have retyped vital parts of Young’s letter to Ford, and Ford’s response. Letter From James Young to Gerald Ford (Excerpted) Dear President Ford, I was active-duty Navy and assigned to the White House as White House Physician in 1963, when President Kennedy was assassinated… Knowing that you were on the Warren Commission at that time, I am writing to you confidentially, to see if you have any knowledge about an issue which has puzzled me for years… My particular problem is a description of what occurred at the autopsy. During the autopsy examination, Dr. Jim Humes, then the Chief of Pathology at Bethesda Naval Hospital, and two other pathologists stated that some pieces of President Kennedy’s skull bones were missing. In order to reconstruct the President’s head for burial, Dr. Humes wanted to find those pieces which were missing. Dr. Burkley and I requested two of our corpsmen who were assigned to our White House medical unit, to go to the Executive Office Building where the Secret Service had placed the “Queen Mary,” [sic] the open convertible in which President Kennedy had been shot, for bone fragments. Two of the corpsmen left and returned sometime later with three varying sized pieces of President Kennedy’s skull bones. In addition, they brought back in an envelope a spent misshapen bullet which they had found on the back floor of the “Queen Mary”[sic] where they had found the pieces of skull bones. The bullet and pieces of skull were given to Dr. Jim Humes. I have never seen anything written about that spent bullet in the Warren Report or elsewhere. Do you recall any testimony or comments which would clarify my concerns? Ford’s reply was typical government B.S. Projectiles and fragments were found all over. Here’s one source you may want to review…it will ask you to prove you are human…but that should be no problem...right? www.mathewsopenaccess.com/full-text/real-time-and-in-situ-measurement-of-rifling-angles-with-a-hand-held-digital-device-a-technical-implication-to-the-jfk-assassination-case In another instance, one witness saw a bullet strike the edge of a manhole cover and bury itself into the grass on Elm…he informed law enforcement and a search was conducted…one man in a suit, referred to as “agent,” was seen examining the grass area where the witness said he saw the bullet bury itself. When the “agent” stood up his hand was cupped and he placed the cupped hand in his pocket…in truth, we don’t know whether a bullet or bullet fragment was picked up…there was no report of the investigation, nor of any findings…however, the witness insisted he saw what he saw…it was ignored by everybody but those who tend to want to look more closely at anything their government tells them. And…finally, please review this site: www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1978/12/22/experts-track-mystery-jfk-bullet/8fd930bf-a0ab-4c07-8a26-d5cc3993239b/

WAS Lee Harvey Oswald the first "AntiFa"? His Russian wife Marina said she snapped the famous photo of her husband dressed in black with his rifle and pistol and proudly holding copies of "The Daily Worker" and "The Militant." Lee made copies of it at work, inscribed "Hunter of Fascists" on one copy, and mailed other copies to the Socialist Workers' Party and the Fair Play for Cuba Committee. These pro-communist, pro-Castro groups appreciated his support but felt Lee was mentally unstable or possibly an infiltrator or "provocateur" to make them look bad. Even as a teenager, Oswald was interested in progressive, left-wing politics and wrote to the Socialist Workers' Party. After serving in the US Marines, he emigrated to the USSR in hopes of a political and economic system more fair to "The Little People" like him, but was disappointed with his boring factory job in Minsk. He then became an idealistic supporter of Cuban "El Presidente' Cigar" afficionado Fidel Castro and his Revolution. Oswald started his own one-man chapter of the Fair Play for Cuba Committee in New Orleans, debated on the radio with a leader of the anti- Castro Cubans, and went to the Cuban embassy in Mexico City to get a visa in order to move to Cuba. There is evidence he had contact with highly-placed Cuban intelligence "officials" like Dr. Rolando Cubela, who himself was a double or even a triple-agent. Dr. Cubela collaborated with both the CIA and Castro's G2 intelligence services and was a personal friend of Raoul Castro. At least one eyewitness claims he saw Lee being paid about $1000 US by a Cuban intelligence operative at the Cuban embassy in Mexico City. Lee also allegedly had a sexual affair with at least one Mexican woman, Silvia Duran, who worked at the Cuban embassy in Mexico City. Lee Harvey Oswald was an idealistic dreamer with an IQ of 120, was an avid reader of political and historic works, and wrote several thoughtful political treatises which had reasonable, non-extreme goals and proposals, including ending racial segregation, no taxes on individuals, freedom of religion and private enterprise, and even modest gun control proposals. He fancied himself to be a James Bond 007-type spy, and offered his services as such to the Cuban Castro regime. On April 10, 1963, shortly after losing his job, he shot at and and narrowly missed killing right-wing retired General Edwin Walker, a racist, strongly anti-communist leader. The Dallas PD and FBI had no clue Oswald tried to kill General Walker until after the assassination of JFK six months later, which occurred after Lee's pleas to move back with wife Marina, with whom he had two small children, were rejected by her. He left his wedding ring and $270 for Marina and their kids the morning of November 22, 1963 before going to work at the Dallas Book Depository Building.

@@GaryMinter is Gary Minter the latest troll sent by the govt to spout ancient myths and fairy tales in order to confuse the new persons who show an interest in this subject? Probably.

Why he did it? "We will never know the answer to that question." Indeed we will never know. But the fact is... Oswald IS the assassin!

If you are dishonest enough to accept magic Bullets and a mountain of other germane evidence.
