He didn't really care all that much if he did he wouldn't have given Marcel the serum because if he hadn't then the Mikealsons would have lived and Hope wouldn't have become a monster like she is now.

How about him being a massive hypocrite? How about him breaking his promise to and destroying Cami's memory and never doing the right thing? Body count doesn't matter because they lived longer than him and had more power and time to stack the body count but if it wasn't for the Mikealsons Vincent would have had a body count much bigger than the entire Mikealson family combined. You do realize Vincent is at fault for the hollow who nearly killed every first born meaning billions of lives would have been lost while he was doing nothing during 5x8? The Mikealsons are no worse than most great men in history. It's true that being moral is one of the best human traits but vampires especially true ones like them are not human and have a different moral code and they certainly aren't as bad as witches which was stated in all 3 shows several times. Sure Klaus killed hundreds of thousands throghout his long life but he saved billions from Vincent, the hollow and in other witches. You do realize if it wasn't for Klaus's actions during season 4 of tvd that the other side and hell would still exist. How many billions of souls would have suffered then while Vincent was being uselles and holding speeches to idiots? You fo realize hadn't given Marcellus the serum than an at the time incurable poison wouldn't exist, Hope's life wouldn't be ruined and characters like Josh would have lived. On top of that Elijah's entire sireline would have survived and the hollow never would have been revived since it needed to kill Elijah. Vincent through Elijah's sireline probably killed more people than the Mikealsons did in 100 years of their lives. He killed more people than anyone today could. And while the Mikealsons killed less than 1 million people in 1000 years despite their incredible powerr there have been real people just like Vincent throghout history with similar personalities who have killed millions. Those same kinds of speeches he gave are the ones that Hitler mafe except at least Hitler's weren't as delusional or separated from reality as Vincent's which is saying a lot.

@@lewishamilton.f1.44 well, Finn did posses him for nine months and killed people in his body and then all of them used that knowledge to blackmail him into doing their biding. id say thats a pretty solid reason to hate them. not even mentioning the fact that they sacrificed Davina to save themselves and killed witches and innocent people repeatedly. and it's not like he doesn't call other people on their bullshit either. he does. he calls out Marcel on it, Cami, even Davina that one time she made Hayley kill all those witches. Vincent is one of the few people in the show who actually cares about morals and doesn't break his rules just cause it's convenient and the Mikaelsons are the literal opposites of that. for him they're just bad people. they don't deserve his respect so he doesn't give them it. as simple as that

Vincent is completely perfect, he’s always right about everything, he’s a good person with a completely pure heart, and his moral compass will always be in the exactly right place. I only ever forgave Freya for what she’s done because in season 5 Vincent did and that’s all I need to let bygones be.

This actor was everything. The way he ABSOLUTELY nailed Finn Mikaelson and then FLIPPED the coin and became Vincent. His acting was on POINT. Probably up there with Jomo on talent. Vincent was a gem. Even when he did stuff that annoyed us or went against the Mikaelsons - Vincent was a force not to be reckoned with. An absolute boss. And a true star of the show. My favorite non-Mikaelson character of TO.
Vincent was one of my favorites- he was always doing so much for everyone, he had a rational mindset, and he was overall a caring person (his speech to cami when she dies never fails to make me tear up)
This is what i LOVE about vincent. Always speaks his mind, he actually cares, he actually tries to learn from his mistakes, and he's not afraid to call out the mikaelson's bs. I feel like the only reason some people don't like him is because of how he talks about the mikaelsons which is a pretty nonsensical "opinion" to have.🤦♂️ I love the mikaelsons just as much as anyone here but they are violent, selfish, and inconsiderate 99% of their screentime. I really can't find a reason to hate him for how he speaks about them. Maybe there's another reason I'm missing that someone here can tell me about but the reasons I've only seen involve his interactions with the mikaelsons and how he acts toward them.
I mean ig an argument can be made for a lot of people being "bad", but a lot of people seem to hate on people who cross the Mikaelsons as if the Mikaelsons don't cause hella problems and turmoil for folks all the time. It's like some people like the Originals so much that they don't understand that most people are really just retaliating to the repeated bullshit (not that it makes the other people's actions "right" either). With Vincent basically becoming part of the Mikaelson family by being the biological father of Freya's kid, I started seeing Vincent in a new light. He's that brother in law in a dysfunctional family who calls everyone out, is tired of their pressence as they bring trouble but despite everything, he has came to regard them as family, even if most of the times he'd rather die then say that deep down, part of him has come to care about them.
@Hasbulla JR I agree with you. I love Marcel, he’s my favorite really, but I’ve always disliked Elijah. He’s my least favorite Mikaelson. And he was a terrible influence on Klaus. Like Finn put it, “You coveted the duties of the eldest brother in which case you had near a millennia to fix the problems of this family and instead, produced nine centuries of failure.”
Not gonna lie. Vincent's introduction into show as Finn proved that both Finn and Vincent were powerful witches. Vincent on his own is extremely powerful and honestly, he's definitely one of the best and a well-rounded character. He's definitely the type of character I would study in creating my own characters; one who has sound morals and with his heart in right place but definitely not afraid to cross certain lines or do what needs to be done while understanding exactly where he stands.

Watching the originals when i was younger, Klaus was by far my favorite character but the older i got. the more i realized i relate to Vincent upon my rewatch recently. Vincent became my favorite character in the whole of the show along with Hayley, Davina and Camille. And I’ve seen people say they cannot understand why Vincent hated the Mikaelsons. Finn possessed his body upon his mother picking Vincent and the trauma of having someone live your life while you’re in the back seat, not being able to stop what’s happening is a very good reason to hate someone. At the end of the day Vincent isn’t a perfect person by any means but in a lot of ways he was right. When he said “Hayley has earned our respect” is something Klaus and Elijah could never do. Hayley took the time to have the supernatural community live in peace. No pointless killings like Marcel did in season one with the witches. Respect isn’t given because you’re more powerful then someone, older then someone, respect is earned over time. The Mikaelsons were a necessary evil to work with when threats greater then them threatened his home. We all love the Mikaelsons (personally only ones i like are Klaus and Rebekah) and a lot of the time can’t see why a character like Vincent could hate them. They’re a family who lived for 1000 years - a family that’s been at the top for those years - a family that’s ruined the lives of innocent people to get to where they were. And their always and forever code was at times if not a majority of the time.. the reason they did a lot of the things they did. Family above all else. Freya sacrificed Davina to have her brother and i understand why she would do that. But I’m the process she let someone who’s had their fair share of life, more than anyone could and would ever have in their life time live, over someone who was just starting theirs. Did Davina and Hayley forgave the Mikaelsons for what they did? Yes, they did. But that’s why we needed someone like Vincent. Mikaelson, Witch, Vampire, Human. Vincent would call them out upon their bullshit. “That always and forever crap” Vincent didn’t care about it and honestly he is a good character. As annoyed as he was in the entire time he was on the show with shit happening around him. With the Mikaelsons. Hell even the damn ancestors. He kept getting dragged back into soemthing he tried getting away from. From the moment Ester chose him for Finn. Him and the Mikaelsons fates were sealed together, which once again. He didn’t ask for it. He didn’t want it. But he was forced to be apart of their world. The fact he’s now apart of the family in a way, with Freya and Kelin having him bring their sons Surrogate dad because they wanted a child and he agreed. Which i feel like people forget sometimes, shows how much he’s linked with the family he hated for so many years.
He was the only witch that actually ever beat the originals for a long time by creating marcel into the beast now he is also a part of there family through freya which is just wierd
I hate how the TVD and Originals universe makes witches the bottom of the totem pole. Do they not realize that if not for witches, vampires wouldn’t even be a THING? Vincent and Bonnie were the most underrated and abused characters of this universe. The only difference between Vincent and Bonnie is that Vincent knew his worth from jump and he made sure to make sure those vampires knew it. Go Vincent!!!!

Vincent and Davina were the only ones who had the guts to put the Michaelsons in their place and I loved them for that. I loved the Michaelsons but they were horrible when it came to people outside their family.

Killing Davina was the last limit for him He's the one who gave Marcel the serum And he gave them a choice which Elijah did turning him into the most powerful vampire in the originals 😂

I like vincent. He’s an amazing friend but one thing that nobody ever talks about, neither he or the characters ever talked in the show nor the audience that it was actually vincent’s fault that the hollow is back. It was because of destroying the ancestral plane that the hollow found its way back up, the idea for which was given by vincent. And he always kept on getting angry on the mikaelsons if they ever tried to come back to new orleans. Atleast they fixed something which he ruined by always staying away from their siblings.
To some extent, Vincent is indeed a little to blame, but he had a reason to destroy the Ancestral Plain. The ancestors did not care who would die and who would suffer. They used people and threw them away like pawns. If anyone opposed them, they killed, maimed and destroyed him. He didn't want innocent people to get hurt and for that he wanted to destroy the Ancestral Plain. What they did to Davina and Cami and how they made him turn Lucien into "The Beast" made him make this decision.
