One of the main reasons why I love Dirge of Cerberus is due to him using a phone in the beginning of the game because it implies that after fighting Sephiroth they decided to get him a phone.
he's a sweet muchkin but this baby boy is as old as the rod and does not know the young people tech, its like giving a boomer a smart phone with no instructions 😂💀
That they managed to make Vincent, in damn near every scene, so cool and yet so silly was my favorite part of his inclusion in this game. The entire Queens Blood finale had me busting up so hard. Gave new meaning to the term “heart of the cards.” Matt Mercer nailed this performance
I think US VA’s did a superb job in this game. I’d always preferred Japanese VA version in games, anime’s and movies but this is the first time I actually enjoyed English dub. I still prefer Japanese version just because of translation issues. Localization team has worked hard I can tell, but there are some lost nuances in the process
Vince is a 57-year-old in the body of a 27-year-old. And he's been in that basement for 30 odd years. So, he's like a person who hasn't gone out in a long time. He's not very hands-on with new technology.
@@NRRC97 In the original, fans considered him the type of annoying and useless character, and SE made a official survey a few yeras ago, and he was voted as the most hated character in Final Fantasy series XD. But in rebirth (at least fo me) they made him funny and cute.
@@jogray2731yea caith sith wasnt very interesting to play as in the OG because his skills are a gamble. And we have cool characters like vincent and cid to play as. However, caith sith’s a good addition to the story because of betrayal and trust and his sacrifice in the temple was a redeeming moment and verybsar especially he said that he’s the only caith sith who managed to have his own consciousness and that even if he gets replaced, there will always be one caith sith. That’s kinda sad and since in rebirth they made him cute and lovable, that scene hit more.
Cait in previous games just felt like an annoying mascot character. Rebirth and even his cameo in Remake did wonders for him and SPOILERS FOR 20+ YEAR OLD GAME I GUESS Reeve by extension. Cait is a lot cuter without being overbearing, actually funny at times, and feels a lot more human and relatable, and Reeve trying to help Sector 7 in spite of the president but having Cait arrive too late and see the disaster in front of him is a good character moment and helps better paint how his utter disillusionment with the company would push him to stick by Cloud until the end.
This is easily the best decision made by square enix to have the man that voiced the biggest menace in the jojo series right next to dio be the voice of Vincent was a damn near perfect match
Who exactly did Matt Mercer play in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure again? It's been a while since I last tuned in ever since I wrapped up Stone Ocean. Which bad guy did Mercer voice?
@blairblue6769 the dialog was pretty bad imo if they rewrote it with the remake team than im sure It would be bounds better because they would actually feel like real characters
@@blairblue6769Bro...the story is awful. And all the new characters added are so awful. The dialouge and writing is literally spitting in the face of anything the orginal did. No charm, wit, bunch of anime robots talking and it's disgusting...and thats not even mentioning the gameplay. DoC can die in obscurity.
Surprise, Vincent voice my Matthew Mercer also voice of Jotaro from Jojo, Levi from AOT, Cassidy from Overwatch, and many more. Yeah, his voice is perfect for Vincent
"Oh geez, thanks Cait. You're handy to have sometimes" "Don't sweat it" ....... ".....wait....why do you know how to operate a Shinra Keycars Terminal?" ........
I was hoping that there was gonna be a running gag of Vincent being bad with modern technology. Was not disappointed. Makes sense that he would be a bit behind, after all.
While Matt Mercer did a fantastic job, I really miss Steve Blum as Vincent. There was just a little edge to it, something unsettling but captivating, and I miss it. Nothing against Matt of course, it’s just I got used to the old voice and every time I hear rebirth Vincent it throws me off for a few seconds.
I was pretty upset when I got to this scene, and was like finally I can play as my favorite character in the ff7 universe, just to find out he isnt playable 😢
The story is different from the original version. In the original version of FF7, Vincent could be recruited as a playable character before fighting the giant robot. as a hidden quest
Anyone else just delayed pressing anything to continue just so you could listen to Vincent's theme music. ........... Nope...... Ok just me then lol 🙈😂🥰
Hope in the upcoming Part 3 Conclusion of FF7 that some Dirge of Cerberus of Vincent would be implicated, especially to answer all the fans' question: is Vincent Valentine the Real Father of Sephiroth instead of Hojo?
Even before the ff7 r&r was made people have already been making jokes about Vincent, and i highly doubt gen z kids know about the og ff7 and the ac movie lmao Also now that i think about it, why are you so upset that younger gens are making tech jokes like the millenials didn't do the same when the ac came out. Don't suck the V guy too much he's not real
@@Serious_but_Curious Hello I'm Gen Z and I love Vincent, I watch my Mom and Uncle play the original FF7 and I've seen AC, I've even played Dirge of Cerberus though I got stuck on one part and haven't had the courage to go back yet, I like watching people who no nothing of FF7 go through Remake and Rebirth and having no idea who any of the characters are or what is going on. While not many Gen Z have played or even know about the original there's still a few of us lore obsessed Gen Zs that know more about FF7 lore than some millennials.
Vincent didn't bother comb his bed hair look 😂 as far i know his hair is not spiky when he was active turk... saliva can make hair stick together after its been dry☠️
