I think Gerwyn Price is a very good darts player but he's taking advantage of the fact that Taylor is gone, Van Gerwens form is not as strong as it has been and others, Wade, Lewis, Anderson don't appear to be the players they were. If Price, with today's form went back 5-10 years he wouldn't be number 1 or world champ

I agree, TBH. This interview is very interesting. I wasn't aware that MvG practices so little. I was wondering about his form for a while now. Price is a great player. I'd rank him among Gary Anderson and Peter Wright. Phil Taylor and MvG are rather category "insanity". If they're in top form, they're both pretty much unbeatable.

Forget stats, perhaps you just don't understand how good MVG is.. once he's back focused fully on his darts he will be no 1 again.

Taylor never really had competition lets be honest, the standard of quality is much higher nowadays. MVG has shown he is unbeatable when playing well (in today's game) with some mind boggling stats/averages that are better than Taylor's. MVG would have done everything Taylor's done if he'd been in that era.

Taylor was focused on his darting career his whole life wheras MVG hasnt. MVG has still done things taylor hasnt and thats because hes a better player. Mvg on top of his game does not loose to phil taylor on top of his game. And that literally comes down to the size of taylors barrels. (Not enough room in the treble). Naturally MVG is just the better player.
