He died literally 6 to 7 days before this stream, too. And this pack of games was surely compiled beforehand, so I don't think there's a chance whoever compiled these specific FMV clips wouldve sought out his random FMV just to slip him in intentionally. It's seriously bizarre. I mean, he dies, and within a matter of a week, Vinny just happens to stream a game featuring him? Like, wth. On a separate note, this is my favorite vinny stream of all time. I cannot explain how much I love these crusty 90s games. Everything about this stream is magical.

That rat game really did look like just a super weird Power Rangers episode, at some points. Like, when Jason was getting backed into that corner by the swarm, the inner seven-year-old in my brain totally expected a bunch of spinning leg sweeps and a Green Ranger transformation sequence.

There was an episode where Kimberly goes to the past and past Tommy appears dressed almost exactly as he does in this game, dubbed "The White Stranger." Furthermore, there's a multiparter, "Return of the Green Ranger" where they encounter giant rats in the past (again) like the ones in the game. Pretty surreal.

Krazy Ivan is legitimately an okay game, but definitely leans pretty hard on the FMV cutscenes as a crutch. There is soooo much FMV of that "Russian" woman talking to you about every objective in the game and she's like weirdly horny about it, too.

Seeing Vinny and Gundam in the same stream was kinda baffling, even if it was brief! I never realized how normal that cursed game would look to someone who doesn't know about Gundam lol Also Krazy Ivan is kind of amazing, I was surprise how good the cutscenes were at attaching me to those characters!

Jason's death hit me really hard. I hate that he was hurting so much. Sometimes we feel alone even surrounded by people. He was a superhero to 90s kids everywhere and he might as well have been a real life one as well. I wish his fans could have been enough. But I know that can't take the place of the things he lost. At 14:46 I am BEFUDDLED. Is that George “The Fat Man” Sanger in the cowboy hat? Or a reference to the guy? The Fat Man did music for the infamous and important FMV game The 7th Guest, as well as fantastic work in other games like Zombies Ate My Neighbors! and Humongous games like Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo. The way this random dude is there in Chicago, sporting an outfit The Fat Man would probably wear, delivering a line about “giving the Fat Man a hot dog”, just seems WILD to me.

neat obscure fun fact about the construction kids on site game. the guy who plays nuts, the one in the orange hardhat with the pink vest, is larry grennan. or better known by ppl in chicago who were active in the music scene in the late 70s and 80s, wazmo nariz. he was a very bizarre and wacky new wave act comparable to devo, who he had opened for at one point.

Alright so at 13:55 that area in Chicago, I was like some of that looks hella familiar, and I think I actually lived in an apartment building on that block. It's so bizarre seeing it time warped 30 years earlier, you can't even see the tower from there anymore, but I counted the windows on that brick building in the background and I'm certain now that's the building on Jefferson and Wayman. The place where he's standing used to be a big rail crossing, but now it's a parking lot for the tower I was in, and the only old track still running is the one literally right behind him.

Before Sunrise and Bandai made standard English translations for everything in Gendum, they would be all over the place. In the original translations of the novels Tomino wrote I think Zeon was translated as Zion. It's also where Zaks came from because they didn't get that Zaku is supposed to be a pun on the word 'zako'.

Half of me is incredulous that JDF played the same character type through his career,even in this fmv game, despite just seeing it with my own eyes and the other half is now thoroughly convinced that him basically playing variations of the same character throughout his career tracks, actually. No shade emmy award winning actors have made careers play the same five people. From what I've read and heard he was a very generous person and very kind to his fans.

32:20 You know, given the fact that this game was released during the 90s, plus the CGI and Soviet setting, it's easy to mistaken this as a Red Alert 1 game. Also, I have to admit I really like the acting in that game. The Russians are easily likable and funny together.
