the vinemug section had the correct audio, but it was looping constantly, playing slighlty too fast, and about 3x as loud as it should have been.

They're all pretty intensely corrupted, or at least really loud. The mug section is original audio but super loud, while the mall section outside the bakery and the tub at the end are totally new sounds. Everything else is OG audio afaik

Just saying this in case you're unaware, but the corruptions in corruption stockpiles actually *do* have names, written by their authors and visible in the RTC's Stockpile Player. I guess you could consider it as an additional layer of emersion when you're playing them. A lot of these names are jokes, and none of us ever get to see them, so it's great that Vinny says the names out loud for us. It's like the punchline to a good joke. Also, during corruption development, some authors use the names to mark the various effects they find, for example to merge select effects together to make something brand new.

@@bobalinx8762 Pretty sure the corruptor has the ability to insert predefined data streams. Easy as finding where exactly a texture was, replacing it, and then making it show up.

That's when you know a corruption is top tier.

There's a discord and a website with the RTC launcher, Google is your friend. You need to put some time into learning how to use the tool, and it's better to try games that aren't regularly shown in the stockpiles (Mario games, Zelda games, etc).

At least once a stream Vinny finds an effect within a corruption that I didn't know about when I sent it to him. Vinny plays past be intended end of the corruption and finds something else all the time

back in my day the corruption was a block making a funny noise, and we laughed for 3 hours

@@joeganbogan270 Back in my day you worked with the corrupter settings for 6 minutes to find a 3 second funny sound and it was the best thing ever.

I mean, for the record, I know nothing about SH and all I got out of the dialogue was Something Something Typical Anime Plot, so it's... probably not that spoilery anyway? Maybe?

People love to think any cutscenes are spoilers, even if you don't understand what you are looking at. Like Heather meeting, the detective was a "spoiler". People were acting like any dialogue was a spoiler and would ruin Silent Hill 3 when Vinny would probably forget about it in a few minutes, especially since he is focusing on the corruption over the dialogue.

Chat is stupid because when game has that level of corruption and disjointed scenes out of context, you are not getting any idea of the gameplay or the story at all. It's not a spoiler. Also Vinny's memory span is sadly only a couple months at best, he whips through maybe 20 games a day, so he will not have remembered any of it by the time he plays the actual game with all the games per night plus his offline life and day to day things he does IRL.
