Kids watching this may not know the significance of the title "Metroid Dread". You can find articles about "Metroid Dread, the sequel to Fusion", in Nintendo Power magazines from 2006. It dropped off the face of the earth until 15 years later. Absolutely legendary.

There was a possible easter egg in the Chozo gallery thing in Samus Returns hinting at Metroid Dread, but it felt like a stretch at the time (and kinda still does, but we did end up getting it so whatever)

I love how every single Botw sequel "Leak" was "Ohhh you're going to be able to explore underground and Zelda will be playable" and what happens in this trailer? Zelda drops to her death and we get sky exploration instead.

When Samus Returns was first revealed, it immediately reminded me of the rumors that Metroid Dread was going to be 2.5D (3D models but with 2D gameplay) and I felt a twinge of sadness that it would never happen. Yeah... imagine. Then I played Samus Returns and I started daydreaming about Metroid Dread being made by the same people who made Samus Returns, in the rumored 2.5D style, with the same horror vibes as Metroid Fusion, combined with a refined version of the action gameplay. I literally dismissed that as a wistful daydream of a "what-if" scenario and today it fucking came true.

If someone didn't saw it: Vinny did this reaction streaming on Twitch today after 2 months, it makes me happy to see him laughing and using the meme soundboard after what happened honestly and I'm glad I caught the stream live, on Vinny's official words he won't return to stream on Twitch yet, but he probably will stream there for special occasions (mostly Nintendo Directs), these pre-recorded videos (well this is a small stream VOD now) on the Fullsauce channel + memberships on both channels are going to maintain for now and some more time By far my favorite thing on this year's E3 and on this Nintendo Direct was Metroid Dread, new WarioWare game and the small footage of BotW 2, I might not have a Twitch and Nintendo might have done some bad moves lately, but I would never hate them for how many amazing stuff they have gave us and keep giving us, Metroid Dread was really amazing and hell yeah a Metroidvania that's canonically the sequel to Metroid Fusion, Samus is now a fugitive and I really want to see more about it, also I'm very happy to hear Metroid Prime 4 stills on development and it wasn't cancelled, I don't care if they move the project to the next Nintendo console if the game is going to be huge and good Hope everyone enjoys this video because it was really fun to watch, thank you for uploading the VOD here John and thanks to Vinny for giving us an amazing time on both here and Twitch, stay safe everyone 👍 "Nintendo won the E3 because they managed Vinny to return streaming" -a wise guy said

@@THENAMEISQUICKMAN Best part of E3 was a tossup between Mario+Rabbids actually getting a sequel or Metroid Dread truly being real after all these years. Kazuya's trailer was pretty fun, but it's got a lot of competition from the other Smash reveal trailers. I lean towards Mario+Rabbids, cause the first one was way better than it had any right to be and I have no faith in people to put their money where their mouths are and actually make a Metroid game's sells numbers high enough to encourage Nintendo to not take long hiatus periods between installments. The level of hype I have for Dread will depend of how its release goes, while Mario+Rabbids was a sleeper hit that has good buzz around it at this point, so I have a bit more faith in people getting engaged to play it. Yeah, kinda circular thinking, but whatever. I also just personally enjoy playing Strategy RPGs more, even if I also love Metroidvania games. Though, mainly... What in the world, Wario emotes on RU-vid? Crazy.

God why did Vinny coming back, even just for one stream make me emotional, it’s not like I know the guy or he knows me but idk I just feel like he’s a genuinely nice guy who didn’t deserve any of the shit that happened. I guess Vinny was always live every night when I couldn’t sleep because of insomnia and depression and helped me get through the loneliness I felt then, but anyway I’m glad he’s ok and thriving and I look forward to the future! @@aortaplatinum he was slandered allegedly by fellow people in the same circles he came up from. whether it just really hurt him or really pissed him off, he did the smart move and immediately began pursuing legal action against the blatant character assassination. the damage was done, though (while everyone more or less just got up in a frenzy to DEFEND vinny): it seems to have killed his streaming motivations in one fell swoop. obviously serious internet allegations aren't something to play around with, so personally i don't blame the guy at all for having a change of heart as a result. it goes as deep as forging emails and potentially even forging audio. really fucked up.

@@donutello_ SMT 4 and 5 don't have random encounters. Plenty of JRPG's dont, actually. You kinda make peace with random encounters by thinking of them this way: they aren't getting in the way of the game's content, they're part of it.

I still remember just chatting with folks over at the Vinemon Discord this morning and then I see a message that Vinny’s live. On Twitch. Even through nothing more than those pog lizards and heart emotes, it was a feeling of community I hadn’t felt in months. Whether it be the RU-vid comments section or an emote-only chat, we’re still there, enjoying the same experiences and memories. And that’s... amazing. The times have changed forever, but I think that’s good. Because it only proves the strength of our bond. Plus, we’re all changing, too.

When the Nintendo Direct was about to start, literally *every* Twitch streamer was panicking because there was no classification from Nintendo in any other languages besides Japanese. Then Vinny not only said, *"FUCK IT,"* but he decided to _stream it_ which he hasn't even done in a couple months. Hey at least if Nintendo bans Vinny on Twitch he doesn't stream there anyways as of late, haha... (Nintendo please don't be dicks and ban Twitch streamers)
