The description of this game as a Babalike could not be more on-point. Simplistic but engaging visuals combined with lateral thinking puzzles that make Vinny melt into a puddle of slop; it's the perfect mix of tranquility and frustration.

Weird comparison imo. Visuals, sure, but in terms of design, it literally doesn't contain puzzles. It has a goal, it has tools to reach said goal, but idk if calling random levels + random tools "puzzles" is really appropriate. It's pretty much the anti-baba.

Woah, I was wondering if there was a speedrun scene, it’s such an RNG based game that I thought it might be too frustrating! Are you familiar with Skurry? They’re a speedrunner who just streamed this game because of Vinny

@safabekr not familiar with them but I'll reach out! And yes, it is very random. What makes things a little more bearable is that runs are very short, Any% is a single series of levels (8 + 1 final) and the current record is 53 seconds or so, so if things aren't looking fast enough to contend, you can just reset. A lot of runs go in the dumpster but just because of how fast it is you can just pump out attempts.

This game fuckin rules, beat my first run of it recently and it was incredibly hard cuz i had to keep a turtle alive while getting 2 fruit that were suuuper far away as my final. I think it was Redtall 2 or something. The emergent gameplay that can occur in this game is just chefs kiss. Love this one and its awesome to see vin enjoy it

I am fascinated with the kind of music in this game, but I don't know what the specific thing is called to look for more music like this. Like the slight shifts in pitch that make it "wobbly", the little "off-key" notes. I've also noticed it in Bugsnacks' ost, of all things. If anyone knows what it is called, please let me know

Given how much some games make an effort to keep their randomization fair, using "sometimes you can win and sometimes you can not" as a starting point is a bold game design choice.
