Something a lot like that black background, wood blocks, black/greenish water level at 1:38:00 showed up in a dream I had when I was like... 5 years old. There was more to it in the dream though, there was a horizontal room after the vertical one that had a bunch of shallow water pits where you had to swim or jump over these giant clam things that weren't in the real game at all (they were kinda like reskinned Lava Lotuses if I remember right, spitting up bubbles instead of the weird lava-balls.)

I think that tiny cheep cheep sprite is weird cause its usually accompanying the big bertha fish, but since enemy placement is random most of the time you see the tiny cheep, bertha isn't there to eat it.

smb3 was the first nintendo game i played besides an old, old cartridge with smb2 on it. i had a gameboy advanced sp and i had the version of the game with the all-stars updated graphics. i come back to it and i still feel just as amazed seeing the detail and spritework today after over a decade. really had a huge impact on me in terms of game culture. all those hours of struggling through to the end of the game were worth every minute.

+Vinesauce: The Full Sauce: In world 7-5 the level was World 5-1 and in the bonus area there his no flute, however you can randomly normally have a flute through a glitch in that level in the japanise version only, so the randomizer would randomize the same as the glitch so you would have a chance to get a flute
