As well as Bjorn’s death this reminds me of when Thorfinn told Hordaland about Vinland like his father did for the runaway slave back when he was a young child 😭
@@denisabdullah1908 Edit: I went back and watched the scene again, and it's been awhile since I watched the first season. It was indeed at the same time, just some seconds later, so you are not incorrect. Though, I absolutely love the comment, the first time it was played was when Leif was telling his tale of how his ship was stuck in ice, ran out of provisions, ate ice to survive, walked across the frozen sea, and then was the only sole survivor. :'(
rewatching this show for the first time and i realise just how good each of the characters are written that i hadnt fully appreciated the first time, from thorfinn to askeladd. each one truly has their own story and helps the others to realise theirs
I had really disliked Askeladd at first but he became one of my favorite characters of the first season as the show went on. also loved his ties to Wales and the story of King Arthur
Far west, across the sea, there is a land called Vinland. It’s warm. And fertile. A faraway land, where neither slave traders nor the flames of war reach.
@@everettenjeze6276 aye thanks man! lol im caught up to the manga now and vinland saga is definitely my favorite animanga currently, surpassing even that of aot and one piece which were my number 1 and 2 lol
