I guess Vinnie is Back on the streets in 2018 . We recorded this in my store . I co wrote and played the drums and Vinnie sang ,played bass and guitar. This photo was taken at We Buy Guitars on 48th street. Regards , Richard Friedman

My goodness! How amazing would this be if he could re-record this? Gosh. I’m stunned at the non-events that are associated with Vinnie’s name. He’s AMAZING! I’d ten to one rather hear him sing than just about anyone he’s played with.

"Maybe It's The Rain" should have been a big hit. I really like that song the most.

Vinnie was the most gifted musician, songwriter, singer, lyricist that Kiss ever realized. He sounds alot like Lou Gramm from Foreigner. Huge talent. Mega-talent. He was never given the credit he deserved.

Vinnie is really an artist and he knows perfectly how to send his message and love. Its a pity I discovered him a year ago (listening Jhon Norum´s back in the streets) but now I have to recover lost time

Hello Everyone that has replied to this post. The demos that were done in Richard Friedman's small studio in the back of We Buy Guitars were done in an effort to get a record deal for Vinny. Richard new a lot of people in the business and helped Vinny use it to market himself and eventually got himself into Kiss. As I read that some people are saying that they played on the demo on 48th street, this is incorrect. As Richard states, Vinny Cusano sang, played all guitars and solos, and bass. Richard Friedman played drums. I, Don Pantoliano engineered and recorded all of these basic track sessions at the 48th Street studio. All the keyboard tracks and different guitar solos were done in California. What a shame as to what has transpired to such a talented and musical person.

Vinnie should’ve been an major songwriter of the 80s creating mega hits, also sounds like Toto’s , Steve Lukather.

Even back then he had that singing tremolo vibrato. I read that he took jazz theory, like all of us, I'm sure he was a Holdsworth fan too.

Sounds like what KISS should sound like today, extra smooth ages with real feeling like a great meatball with ravioli too! Should make cd with extras and Paper package. Plastic boxes suck bad these days. Thank the Lord for excellent song writers like him. I'm hooked on these tracks great late night soft & sweet.

Vinnie was from a musical family, he has it all, great song writer, fantastic guitar player, composer, producer, singer and frontman. But something was off in his life, that side railed all this talent later in his life.

Now that Vinnie has reappeared I really hope he gets his shit together and at least cleans up and releases some of this old demo stuff. His vocals were killer and there are some seriously good songs here.

Vinnie's 'Maybe it's the Rain' is great song and stellar vocals. Hear a bit of Biily Joel in his voice on that one. His musical range is impressive, to say the least. Too bad he couldn't keep it together.

I wish he woud write with gene and paul, people get mad when I say this,but genes best songs are co writes with Vinnie! Lick it up is my fav none makeup album and its because the songs Vinnie either wrote or co wrote are really great!

Great work. Reminds me of how much I liked Peter Criss' version of "Tears", as well as also reminding me about the fact "Back in the Streets" was and will always be my favourite VV tune. Hope he can get himself back in shape and maybe do a KISS Kruise appearance or similar. A new VV release, like Ace's recent work, would be amazing.

Kiss- we need a lead guitar player cause Ace left us. Vinnie- hey I can do it! Kiss- Vinnie has more talent than we do, people might like him better than us. Vinnie- it’s okay guys, I’ll just play great lead guitar and do my best to make the group sound good. Kiss- just do what we tell you, sign the contract, drink the kool-aid.

This version of Tears… is the best version of the song. John Waite did a great cover. But Vinnie’s emotional presence just does this version justice

is this really Vinnie's voice....if it is he was amazing....dude could have just led his own band with his own singing instead of getting someone else......damn just makes me shake my head when i know he could have just been a guitar God and vocalist on his own even without kiss if he just knew how to manage the business side of it all or if he had someone who he trusted to do it way back when.

Jeez! I've been reading a lot recently how good of a singer Vinnie is, and my god, it's true! Always loved the guy and his talent. I love shredding, but i have to say that i really think Vinnie actually over-shredded on his Invasion albums (as much as i do love them!). Never heard these demos before. Gotta say i am loving them! Vinnie, you goddamn muthafucka, would you please get back in the saddle and do what you were born to do! I really don't care about the politics of KISS and what went down between you etc. blah, blah, blah. I just love them, and i love you and this shows why they took you on board. You're far too talented to just go by the wayside until you die, Man! Please, sort it out... \m/ (:o)
