my grandparents were born before 1900. they were rural farmers. i don't think they went to the dentist. crazy to think how they dealt with diabetes that ran in my family.
You two clearly had a fun day, and even managed to find some purchases along the way. You have one of those great friendships where you can just be yourselves, no hidden agendas, and you tease each other in an easygoing way…never any hurtful sniping. A good solid friendship is genuinely precious, and I’m glad you have forged one.🖤🇨🇦
Scott, I felt your pain with the pie safe. My chest feels like it tightens up when I have to walk away from a beautiful piece of furniture. It's a good thing I don't have access to warehouse, I'd fill it up with just furniture.
Hi Scott another great thrifting day with you and Vinny you both made me laugh between the baby got back to the depends 🤣🥲🤣🤣loved the old antique you were telling about you both scored on some amazing treasure always injoy watching take care
It was nice to see what you and Vinny got up to during the day before your epic 'Show and Tell Live Broadcasts'! We had a good time, didn't we! It's always entertaining when you two hang out together. Thanks for putting this together, loved it! 😍
You two covered a lot of ground. Fun to see the different places. It’s hard to pass on a piece of furniture when you know it’s special and the price is great but you have no room for it.
Those Firestone Christmas albums are STILL the best compilations ... put a stack of them on the turntable changer at holiday time and you have a whole evening of the best, most atmospheric music.
When you picked up the seat cushion and exclaimed it was a Vera Bradley purse I laughed so hard my cat jumped off my lap! Hysterical. Sometimes Vinny looks so uncomfortable I feel a bit sorry for him. Love you two together!!
HaHaHa! 'Baby got back'! Welp, you got the baby part right, that huge cushion is actually part of a baby crib bumper pad set! That particular cushion would fit at either of the ends (headboard/foot-board) with longer cushions that fit on the sides... Mystery solved!
I found an entire set of that boopie stuff for $10 at GW. I didn't buy because I hate boopie. I should have picked up to sell. But I hate the look of it. I scored on a ton of stuff.
Vinny found a lovely teapot! And I laughed at the memories you brought back of falling through rotted straps on the old folding chairs. Haha I’ve been there. What a wonderful old heater you found and chifforobe. The quality still shines through the old items. I used my grandmothers old 1950s Hoover upright until it finally died in the late 1990s. It was a workhorse and the suction lifted the carpet up from the floor. Wish they still made things of that quality today.
We have an old pie safe very similar to the one you showed in the video! We’re planning to use it as a linen closet when we remodel our vintage bathroom.
The first of the bowls you looked at had chrysanthemums, not dahlias. They do look similar, but not in real life. I have an idea about those bowls. Why not use them as an "'Easter basket" for a collector?
I have never seen a pie safe like that before! Oh my gosh I want that soooooo bad!!!!! PLEASE share with me where that Goodwill is? If you can't for safety reasons or it is just one you want to keep to yourself I understand 😊
