This playthrough was so fun to watch. How Vin managed to knock Sidon off the edge of the Water Temple still makes me laugh. My favorite moments were his creative shrine solutions and building the craziest things possible to hold up Addison's signs.

Despite being an engaging and fun game to play the story fell so flat it felt embarrassing as a zelda title. It's the inverse of skyward sword, where the story and asthetics took the lead instead of innovative gameplay. We've also been staring at the BotW engine since 2017 so it's starting to feel a bit tired.

That seems to be the normal cycle for big titles like TotK. The overall response on release was incredibly positive. Once that subsided, people, who were/are more critical of it, had their opportunity to be vocal about it without being drowned out. And now, everyone has just kinda settled with their opinion on it. I think it’s fantastic, but also find criticisms people bring up to be justified.
