RE6 was one of my fondest memories. Me and a friend got a Capcom bundle with RE6 in it and we beat every campaign and loved it. Figuring out how to replicate glitches like kicking a zombie out of bounds or stun locking bosses was GOATed. We really loved the garbage.

If your turn off your brain to play RE6 like you do with a Marvel movie, it's a good time. I remember getting Platinum Trophy on it and spending hours on The Mercenaries mode

What he should really play is Bloom (Doom/Blood crossover). That thing has full intricate levels built around many legendary horror games and movies. It's got a better SH2 one, a SH4 room one, a one based around The Thing and more.

People who Judge games based on Co-op is funny, they have a huge bias OF COURSE they like it they are juding their FRIENDS they play with more than the game on its own merrits....

5:50 Yes, because the industry is starving, comatose, and rotting in terms of coop, so even meh co-op games are considered favorites. The industry lacking co-op games is a symptom of humanity not understanding the concept of coexisting and cooperating and instead going the opposite way with irresponsibility and cannibalism. Another symptom of said behavior is the economy, which also is against people having good things, even if you get multiple sales from co-op players, which surely has had a hindering effect in devs making co-op games. Heck, I've seen some games being ported or remastered that REMOVED co-op features... Race to the bottom until the car's wheels disintegrate.

It's always "Can doom run this?" "Can this run doom?" and never "Can this run on Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer?" Really makes you stink.

A shame (or a blessing) that you didn't actualy finish the first wad, let's just say it's.... uh, something.

Silent Hill didn't take the Shooter route but it took the Diablo route for some reason, I kinda wish for a re-release of Book of Memories just because it looks very weird

imo Resi 6 co-op is... fine? it's definitely more of a 'get some drinks and a good friend and neuter the difficulty' type of fine. as as RE game, though, it's a dumpster fire.

15:20 I would agree that Eternal Darkness plays better than SH4... however, I also feel that Eternal Darkness is EXTREMELY overrated in modern times, and even for its time it was barely horror so much as just trippy and supernatural. The sanity effects are definitely pioneers to the sort of 4th wall breaks we see in a lot of contemporary indie horror, but they're done in such a way that they don't work at all unless you're playing the game on actual hardware on a CRT. And even then the game is so famous for it that it would never catch you off guard. Also, they don't kick in unless you're doing poorly, so if you don't suck at the game you never even see them. SH4 is still a much more effective horror experience than Eternal Darkness is. Also, if you're into cosmic horror in these sorts of games, I would obviously recommend barnyard play Alone in the Dark. Specifically I'd say New Nightmare and the 2024 game hold up well by modern standards. The OG trilogy is good but hardly scary, and the 2008 one is only good in a "so bad it's good" sort of way. And we don't talk about illumination. Clive Barker's Undying is also a great cosmic horror game, albeit it takes a few workarounds to get running well on modern systems.

I have a feeling Vinny’s gonna really like the remake, I was almost entirely against it up until playing it and (as a huge fan of the original 3) now think it’s great so far. It will never be the original, much like any remake of the others would be, but it’s still a great game imo.

I love how Vinny keeps complaining about the difficulty of the first wad even though to some DOOM players that was the easiest thing ever compared to the WADs they play. Classic skill issue Vinny.
