The fact that Jerma also hasn't watched a lot of Simpsons makes me feel like I've been living in a bubble all my life and Simpsons isn't actually popular at all.
Both of them were 3 years old when the show debuted. They would have been teens when it was peak. I'm 32 and I know the Simpsons very well as well as this game and all the references. Nobody in my family knew it, it just appeared on TV.
@@BoltscrapThe Simpsons absolutely took the world by storm in the 1990s. It is just that in the 2000s it started to receive a lot of competition. Nowadays it does not have nearly the same level of focus.
@@AhmedMalaki Hilda is from the *late* '10s (well so was Unikitty, but a character from it was in this mod anyway), and TBH I don't think it made a significant-enough cultural impact. Seeing Kaisa here would be funny though

Man, I love the modding community. I definitely want to try that Mod of Stupidity. It looks like they actually put a lot of effort into it, so kudos to the people that made it!
The cutscenes are genuinely really well done, damn. It's like this mod takes elements of a shitpost mod and actually tries to make them make sense, somehow.
Honestly, this ROM hack feels like it'd be the perfect thing to dub RU-vid Poop: The Video Game. Just toss in some more classic YTP stars like King Harkinian, Morshu, Dr. Robotnik and the like as playable characters, and we're golden! Speaking of golden, I cackled at the last few moments of the ending cutscene, specifically when Peter Griffin shows up.

It's not an "exorbitant fee". Last I checked it was $30 which is fair for a popular PS2 game such as this. Animal Crossing on Gamecube is $80+ Also game prices are tweaked by whatever influencer on RU-vid decides to cover it, which creates FOMO cringe buyers that chew up all the supply. I have had my copy since 2005-ish, got it at EB Games for like $6.
Does anyone have any idea what the music that plays at the very start of the video during the car select screen is? It's been bugging me ever since I saw the original stream because I've heard the melody before, but I don't know what it is.

I thought this was a very impressive mod, adding all the characters and custom cutscenes in. Then I saw Homer in Whomp's Fortress and I felt something. I'm not sure what it was.
