Another from the Swedish green collection, a late 60's Senior complete with it's tools. Like most dirty fan Hoovers the tool suction is pretty pathetic, maybe enough to give your upholstery a spruce or for doing the stairs, but I suppose thats all they were designed for anyway, if It came to using them for the car or on hard floors, i'd probably think about getting a Dustette or Hooverette out. Being a later Senior it has a 2 speed motor, theres a micro switch in the tool converter slot which activates when the hose is inserted boosting the power from 420w to 650w. When it comes to carpet cleaning, thats where the Senior excels. For many years they used to get top marks in the Which? tests. It still performs excellently and is a bit more powerful than the Smaller Junior. It's also much bigger making it a better machine for large carpeted areas. Many of these Seniors ended up being used in commercial environments because of their sturdiness, excellent performance, reliability and ease of maintenance.
