I saw on another comment you said that you would e-mail the file of it for someone else. Are you still doing that and is it a direct recording or a copy of this? If it is, could you shoot me a copy to my e-mail listed on my channel?
I want to get an answering machine. With today's digital world, would it still work as expected? I'm thinking of using something like cell2jack for phone service, would the answering machine pick up after number of rings? Very interested on how this works in this day and age.
Cell2Jack is a decent option, and should work with an answering machine like this with no issues. Just make sure the ring count is set to a lower setting to avoid cell phone voicemail from getting the call instead! Of course, I always recommend a traditional landline, from a practicality and reliability standpoint, but not everyone wants to spend $20/ 40/ and sometimes 80 per month. Another option is a verizon wireless home phone plan where they give you a box (like a cell2jack) that has its own sim card, which run on their VOLTE network, but uses 64k compression, so the audio quality is incredible (like a regular landline), and that runs around $20 per month. A cell2jack will still leave you limited at the standard 8kbps compression which I personally don't prefer. My landline in my opinion is much more pleasant to have a phone call on, especially deep conversations that take a while. Plus the handset is more natural to hold, and dosent get hot.
@@acrectified I'm not well versed in the matter. I'd love to get a traditional landline but its my understanding you can't get them anymore. Everything is voip and offered from your isp. Instead of having an actual phone company. I very well could be wrong about this. If I can't get a traditional landline id love to know how to get as close as possible.
