1978 Wilderness Camper Remodel
This is not your average camper remodel! Everything has been done to a higher standard for it to last another camper lifetime. We so very much enjoyed seeing the transformation and wanted to share it with you. Enjoy watching before and after photos as well as some of the process!

I've looked at many remodels and I have to say this one is my favorite.. I love that you kept the wood and sanded and varnished them and put wood accents around the entire place.. It makes it look warm rich and inviting.. You can so see that the Lord guided your hands in rebuilding this camper. Our Lord himself is the greatest carpenter!!

I enjoyed the baby cage, but mostly I liked how instead of starting over from scratch, you brought the existing interior up to date. Much better choice of colors than the original.

It is my dream to get an old trailer and revamp it like this to live in and travel around once I retire. I really appreciate the durable materials you put in to the remodel. You definitely gave me some good things to reference once I am able to do my own trailer. Thank you for sharing.

TYFS, my father did this in the mid 70's to take his 3 children camping after our mother passed. The outside paint is the same colors and pattern. I am reliving the happiest moments with him, I wish he could have seen this but he has passed now because of covid. Thank you for this video.

Starting on a camper remodel right now, the roof is sunk in and it’s missing a couple windows with allot of body damage and it has allot of water damage and a couple missing windows. Thank you for the inspiration!

bro just start... you'll learn along the way. by the end you might want to redo the first 2-3 things you did from all the skills you've developed, or you'll appreciate that it was part of the journey. The ONLY problem in life. THE ONLY PROBLEM I REPEAT THE ONLY PROBLEM. Is not starting.

@@fuzzycuzzy no money for now. Being broke as a CNA making $13.50 an hour. But what I’ve learned in life is that when the time is right it’ll happen. When I’m meant to have it I will. I totally agree with you though. I’ll have the chance if it’s meant to be. If not I’ll find another dream to pursue. Life is limitless :)

It doesn't matter how much you earn you can find almost anything for free or extremely cheap, if you develop these skills you could change jobs to working for yourself and do Carvan repairs remodels for peopple charging 100$ an hour+

We have a 1992 Nomad 18’. It has those hokey plastic wheel opening trim. As typical for these the years have made them crack and starting to look bad. Someone already put front diamond plate rock guard on it but you just gave me an idea for over the axles area. Thanks!

You did a fantastic job! What a treasure! We have a 1968 Shasta that we use for camping on the beach at the Outer Banks of NC. My hubby did some remodeling but kept it pretty rustic since it's basically a fishing cabin but I love it dearly....kinda like the play house I wanted as a child.

A lovely build, well done. I have watched plenty of van restos and worry that too much weight is added along the way. Your resto added very little and kept the original concept of a lightweight trailer whilst sprucing it up and adding a modern feeling. (BTW, I prefer it when the original paint pattern is preserved, as it often helps to date the van.)

What a lovely job! There is so much to love in this little space. Thank you for using real tile! That stick-on stuff is horrible and not worth the minor weight saving in my opinion. The counters and table top have an almost copper glow to them, just fabulous. The toddler gate is ingenious and can guarantee a good night sleep for all three of you. Hopefully he isn’t a little tank like some boys and stages a great escape by busting out the “wall” some afternoon. lol! Safe travels!
