Having cats. I would leave the bottom of the bottle on fill it with sand and crochet with brown to make a trunk.

You know what?? We are possibly doing a ugly sweater contest on my office and watching this... I wonder if I could do this pattern and then crochet another two extra layers to the bottom of the bottle to make a cap and wear it as a hat and then do a kittens with mittens on my "ugly" sweater to be like they are playing under the Christmas tree!? What do you think 🤔? I love this video and I think I might make one for my great aunt to have to put out with her Christmas village every year! ❤

That is adorable exactly as you made and decorated it! I would definitely make this if I hadn't already crocheted little Christmas trees for everyone this year. Possibly next year! Decorating options for this are endless! LED fairy lights poked through stitches, use mini decorations or jingle bells or bracelet charms & on & on..... Thank you for this excellent tutorial. Love how you show us how easy it can be to create something that looks very complicated.

Love this Christmas tree 🎄 and your decorations are beautiful, just enough! My mom made this back in the 80s, God only knows where it ended up when she passed on; I definitely have to make it now for my home. I thought a strand of mini lights would look nice on it too. Thanks for bringing this memory back to me! ❤

Adorable! My mind is exploding with ideas. I would loosely wind mini lights around it & have them poke through each round. You could hide the battery pack right under the bottle. I might just try this!! I love your creativity. ❤🤗🧶

Cute! I have an old version of this my mother made. I’m decorating it with my stitch markers. Somehow I have a bunch of those. Some are themed for various holidays, some are fancy, some sparkly. I like the idea of just letting them all hang out there together. ❤

The tree is really cute. Instead of an acrylic yarn for the white edging I might use something a bit fuzzy to give it an extra bit of dimension. Maybe a chenille yarn.

You did beautiful work! This came out beautifully! And I love the addition of the red knots and the beads. 🎄💝 Cardstock might work for the star, too. If I were to do my own I think I might do the tree entirely in a pale pink (I love pink trees 😁) and try to crochet popcorn to string and wrap around the tree, and make some little pipe cleaner candy canes to sprinkle about, as well as some beads, and top it with a glittery star maybe in teal….This is tempting. I have too many projects in motion already, though!😅 You’ve been inspiring me to do more crochet, which I thank you for! Reigniting passion! 💖

Oh, how cute is that! I absolutely want to make one! I don't drink anything using a 2 litre bottle, though. Guess I'll either have to find a substitute or find something to consume from a 2 litre bottle, lol! I love your idea of turning the bottom of the bottle into a candy dish: very clever! I think your pearls & knots decorations look terrific! Thanks for the tutorial. I loved learning how to make this adorable vintage Christmas tree❣️ Peace 🕊️ & Love ❤ to you, Corinna. xx

Is there are a picture of my Christmas stocking? I think that’s the same pattern my mother used to make it. We didn’t have the Christmas tree though we just had a Christmas stocking and even though my mother‘s tension was so tight that she made a sweater for a woman once and it was so tension biased that her seven year-old daughter had to wear instead.

Hello Merlin, Can you please ask your Mom for a [doggy] jacket that matches the pretty coat she made? I've been a good girl this year. I haven't peed in the house, didn't bite the mailman, I stopped barking after 7pm, I eat all my ALPO (and don't whine about it....much). I believe I'm on Santa Paws "Nice List". I love this tree and I will make one! I have a favor to ask though. Please Please Never Ever use your darling little yarn scissors to cut plastic again! Or paper or wire. Have two pair of scissors, one for yarn and thread, and a cheaper 'utility' pair to cut the materials that can dull or chip or distort your good scissors. Thank you!
