Hey Midge! When I go through my closet trying to make space I always ask myself, "would I buy this again today?" If not, it goes.💕🤟 Keep all 3 maybes!

"There are 43 dresses... That's too many dresses." *Me looking at my too full closet of probably 100 dresses* 🙈👀😬 I do feel inspired to take a day and just try on all my dresses to see what I want to keep! I would get rid of the gold caftan, blue glittery velvet dress & Christmas dress. I agree with your thoughts on the negatives things you see in them. I really hate when a dress/top is suppose to have a seam under the bust but its too small & hits across the bust.

Fun video! Looking forward to the finale! The first dress you made in school, may I suggest putting it in a frame or shadow box? You can display it on a wall, freeing up space.

LOVE the blue sparkly star dress! The caftan is meh and the cream and red dress is not as fun as your other dresses. I’m super pale as well and know what you mean about cream looking kind of washed out on pale skin tones. Side note I LOVE the Katrina dress! I’ve been making costumes for a line I want to sell next fall and a Katrina dress is absolutely on my list!

I just recently went through all of my clothes so I know what chore it is! I got rid of “fussy” items, otherwise uncomfortable or hard to style or clean. My body and style has evolved so I got rid of things no longer serve me. I do the Marie Kondo thing of thanking the items for helping figure out my personal style or helping me in the past to help me mentally let go. I also remember that memories are memories and holding on to an item that I can no longer use because of nostalgia just allows the item to get in the way of things I actually use. I also don’t think about the price of an item when moving on from it. I had a lot of guilt that I had to get over letting go of things and feel loads lighter because of it! I also hold things in my maybe pile for about 6 months and move them out if I haven’t used them in that time. Remember your wardrobe serves you and not vice versa!

I really need to clean out my closets & dressers. I have tiny closets & the clothes are jammed in there & now that I'm working from home too I really don't wear most of those clothes & a lot of them don't fit anymore. You have given me the incentive to take some time & start working on cleaning them out.

The blue glittery dress is so lovely. I have it in black, I would sell it as you do have the amazing other blue velvet.

I'd say sell the caftan, keep the starry dress but accessorize it with a silver or white belt right under the bust to accentuate your waist and I'm on the fence about the bespoke dress as it is pretty but a bit meh... I always get happy when you upload!

Hi Midge! I love your channel! I have reorganized many closets and one of the big suggestions I make is to switch to wood hangers. They can be purchased relatively inexpensive from Amazon and they just add that extra polish. Also padded hangers for your beautiful dresses would be gorgeous and can be purchased in powder pink 🥰

This is a great video - I like a long, chatty one! I say keep the caftan - until you get another one you love. It's so unique and free flowing, but I agree the fabric while pretty is maybe too stiff. Get rid of the blue sparkle and color blocked christmas dresses. The blue sparkle one isn't cut right for you, and you can zhuzh up the other blue velvet with lots of sparkly jewelry for a similar effect. Good job on the closet clear out!

I'm only six minutes in and I love your motorcycle jacket. Lol You may want to check out Cato's around fall if you have one locally. The last couple of years they've had some awesome moto jackets. I've got white and lavender faux leather pair from two years ago, and a pastel pink and sparkly gold faux suede pair from last year. 15:30 I'm loving that Audrey II skirt, Little Shop of Horrors is one of my absolutely favorite musicals. Honestly I love most of you clothing. Definitely fashion goals for the future. I have an Eloquii pleated vegan leather skirt, and that thing is outright waterproof too. 🤣 That plain blue velvet dress is spectacular, by the way.

I've learn a few things through years of modifying my wardrobe and decluttering. It's good to make harsh decisions but also not to be too hasty because I've made the mistake of giving away pieces that I regret now. I hold on to the gold kaftan because it looks very unique and not something you find just everywhere, even if you don't end up wearing it all the time. For the other two both are winter/christmas style dresses so I would keep them for now to see if you reach for them and when the spring comes you can see did you wear them and if you did, did you feel good in them or not, then you will know your answer to keep them or not. Hope this helps a bit, in the end it's your decision we can only give our opinions as much but you need to feel good about those dresses not us

Good job getting rid of all those clothes! It feels so good to do that. I would say get rid of those maybe dresses. You said if you are talking about an item too long, just get rid of it! You will find more fun clithes that you absolutely love in the future I'm sure. Can't wait to see the progress on your closet! The sneak peak of the wallpaper is beautiful!

You would look fashionable and beautiful in literally anything. I think your instincts on questioning the caftan, Mrs. Maisel dress, and blue sparkle are on the right track though. I think of all of those amazing colors when I think of your style, so cream is just a different vibe. The blue sparkle isn’t cut perfectly, and I just may not be a fan of the shape of caftans in general. I have zero fashion knowledge though. My favorite was the cobalt blue velvet. It screams take me to some kind of gala! 😄

Oh I hope you sell some of these, because I would LOVE at least three things you put in your nope pile (including your lovely wedding shower dress)! The "sabrina" dress is 100% a Veruca Salt dress and I NEEDS IT. :D Separately, I had a similar awakening about fashion during the pandemic and lockdowns. I was wearing boring, hateful shapeless coverups until I started doing daily fashion posts on Insta after being laid off. I rediscovered my joy in clothes and style and having fun. Life is too short to wear boring unsuitable clothes!

I'm a little late but here's my 2 cents anyway: when I saw the Christmas Mrs. Mazel dress I was like 😐 then I saw it on you and was like 🥰 if you still have it keep it for sure.

I loved seeing your wardrobe! My two cents is keep the caftan, say goodbye to the sparkly star and Mrs. Maisel dresses, they don't fit you properly and one can never feel fabulous in an ill-fitted dress. The caftan reminds me of cocktails and bossa nova, what's not to love about that.

Ugly 60’s bedsheet print is such a vibe. With the blue star one, you could add a petticoat underneath to make it floofier.

I'm only a little ways into the video, but a suggestion I have for all your beautiful sweaters is to use wooden hangers! Plastic ones will stretch out the shoulders into little bips that stick out, especially hangers with the indents meant to hang tank tops. You can get them cheaper online than in stores. It will extend their life! I love watching closet clear out videos. Are you going to paint the walls and shelves new colors?

I’m not a big fan of blue, but the star dress is so pretty. It looks great on you. I think it would be cute to wear this time of the year, even though it’s not a traditional Christmas/holiday color. 💙💙

Keep the caftan, ditch the Collectif velvet dress. Also, you definitely shouldn't feel like you have too many dresses; I converted one of the guest bedrooms into my dressing room/closet and have 3 industrial rolling racks of just dresses lol lol. Not too mention I have very single color Mak "cropped daily" cardigan - I'm a true clothes hoarder, but I do, at least, wear it all so I feel semi-justified. I also don't allow myself to buy anything new at this point without getting rid of something else. Looking forward to seeing this closet come together!

Caftan goes, need one? Get a different one. When you go to the taylor take the star dress. Do not put the items going to the taylor back in your closet. Put them where you constantly see them. That way you are more likely to actually take them, (You already know that of course. )

There's nothing wrong with having two blue velvet dresses! Nothing wrong at all. (I'm apparently becoming a velvet collector...) You can't really tell on camera that the fit of the glittery one isn't great until you get really up close, otherwise I think it does look very flattering. My suggestion is, keep it for this holiday season, and if it doesn't get worn then rehome it and acquire a very glittery brooch or jewelry set to wear with the Baudelaire.

I would say things like purple shirt and maybe shirt after would be nos.. because of 3 things I noticed and the rules I set for myself also: how much you had to talk to it to convince yourself, how much you moved around somewhat uncomfortably while wearing it, and how much you adjusted it while wearing! I'm doing to same process and those are my 3 notes to myself!!!!!!! Not at ALL a commentary on you or your style/decisions/closet/anything! Love your whole channel!

I have such a hard time since I paid good money for the pieces and I did like them at one point. I also fall into the buying for special events trap and never wear again.
