Thanks for the sub!! I keep hearing that the Weber is a great addition. I've spent some time fine tuning the factory Nikki carb on mine. It runs REALLY well, even in the cold weather. Manual choke really helps too.

@@ProjectTimeGarage That’s awesome. Mine had the haitachi carb and came from California with all the extra smog crap and different adjustments for altitude changes, what a headache that was.

I'm back and forth on the bedliner. Some days I want to, and other days I don't. The bed still has a lot of really good paint left and it's in amazing shape. I don't expect it to deteriorate at all. This truck lives in the garage where it's clean, dry, dark and cool. It will never see rain again it my lifetime.

@@ProjectTimeGarage Tell ya what. Go ahead and haul a few things around with your truck, if you scratch it it, so what, isn't gonna hurt. When the time comes to put a paint on bedliner on her, that bed would look like a million dollars. And, you know, I use to live down in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and I'm willing to take a flight out of Pittsburgh and come down and help you in every way possible to sand your truck down and get her painted, help to even put that bed liner in. Doing this, because I really admire this little truck a great deal, love to see it kept in pristine condition. Wish Nissan would build these little trucks like this again, very well designed truck, so easy to work on, everything about them is perfect.

@@ProjectTimeGarage Just wondering. Are you going to to anything with that 521 series Datsun truck you rescued from the junkyard that they were about to crush? I love these 521 series Datsun trucks. Wish Nissan would build them again. With gas prices going out of sight these days, they'd make a killing, they would be so rich, they wouldn't know what to do with all the money they would get when building the 521 series Datsun trucks once again.

My Horn works perfectly. Seatbelts are 2 point from the factory.

Make sure you spray paint the underside with rust olem black paint on the chassis and floorboards frame and if possible, the underside of the bed. I wish with all my heart that when I was living in Murfreesboro Tennessee, I could have ran into one of these little girls to get and use, drive around while buying a nice little home to live in to.

@@ProjectTimeGarage Huh interesting. Good to know though cause if the ones on your truck were solid I'm sure there's a few left that aren't bad. Mine sat for 25 years out in the elements so not surprised mine were as broke as they were. It's been a trip getting it back on the road but your channel has been a lifesaver a few times now. Especially the dash restore video.

That may very well happen. I've thought quite a bit about doing it. If I do it, the truck will be out of commission for about a season.

@@ProjectTimeGarage if you do, let me know, I'll come down there and help you get this little girl sanded down and get her ready to paint! She's way to beautiful looking of a truck, I love her! You may think I'm rather strange here, however the sound of a nice, smooth running engine, well cared for body and chassis, transmission and frame, floor boards are all beautiful music to my ears, and the looks of them, well, you know, they're totally beautiful. I'm funny that way, to hear that nice running engine, best sounding music to listen to in this world.

Yeah, that squeak is coming from the clutch pedal and it's rather annoying. I need to fix that!!

@@ProjectTimeGarage It never ends, does it? Keep your eyes peeled for a 521 and I'll fly down in a heart beat to buy one - but my plans are a red top SR20 motor and 300 HP to the rear wheels!

@@mrbookends That'll be fun. Use FB Marketplace - set your search radius for 500 miles. I've ran across a few of them that way. In fact, a few months ago I bought a 521 off marketplace literally 20 miles from my house.

Actually, I've thought a lot about doing that. Being able to comfortably cruise on the highway is really attractive to me. I may end up doing that.
