EFACEC is a Portuguese heavy engineering firm mostly concerned with energy and rail transportation. They haven't made elevators in years.

Just a correction: these elevators were actually made by Efacec, not Schindler. But since Efacec no longer maintains them (or make them), they are maintained by Schindler. Notice the logo below the call buttons.

As of 2024, the front elevator has been modernized by thyssenkrupp while the side elevator round the corner is still original but derelict (parked on the ground floor with its swing door unlocked).

I think elevators with no inner doors the best, even in Portugal, but while here in Brazil it's not permitted elevators with no inner doors :(
