I absolutely loved this video! Vintage catalogs and magazines are my fave! I just can’t get over how much more beautiful the clothing was, the detail, the color combos, the fabric quality. In fact, almost everything was better 70 to 80 years ago in my opinion. Certainly people were more classy just in general. I would’ve liked a peek at the children’s styles as well as the ladies. Vintage children’s clothing is to die for! I actually found a brand new 1950s little girls dress with the tags still on, it was called dead stock, and my toddler wore it to church. So so sweet.🌸💗🌸

I struggle with wanting to wear vintage and the practicality of just wearing workout clothes and dingey shirts in the garden. Those pictures made me realize I could incorporate more vintage items outside doing what I love and I would love to see your take on that!
I struggle with the same thing. I think finding a good pair of jeans that fit and are vintage-look is gonna help a lot! And then like... big aprons. I mean aprons that just cover all of your dress, haha!
Mexican sandals, huarache sandals are very similar to the woven, rainbow shoes in that catalog, and I wouldn't surprised if that's where the style originated. They're not usually heeled, but some of them are a fun swoopy platforms in my searches. Glad to see you back!
Thanks for sharing your catalog! Oh, I agree with you on the drop waist styles. I love the look of the 1920s, but I have a tummy, so avoid that particular cut. Higher waist or cinch waist dresses are my preferred style. I feel they are a bit more forgiving/flattering lol.
We need those to keep coming in the mail (postal), privacy from invasive internet online hackers etc. It's easier to secure personal mail & orders without everyone nosing in on privacy of individuals. Fast growing trees can be planted for the supply and demand as well environmental issues. While those fast growing trees are planted plant one for the slower growing trees and forests to replace the ones burn (expecially) the ones that burnt from arson, clear cutting due to hoggish corporations, etc. Would be good for economy I e. Jobs, homes, wild life, ozone layer, etc
For rainbow shoes, you could try searching multi-color huarache sandals. They tend to be the sportier styles, including some espadrille types, which aren't quite as fun as some of the ones in the catalog, but they might fit the bill. Your interest in rainbow shoes made me think of the clothes my Grandma would order off those mailers that came in the junk mail. I thought Spiegel might have been one of them, so I looked, and sure enough, they have gone out of business.

Oooh where did you find them? The Miss L Fire ones are similar to one of my favorite pairs from another catalog but ugh... I haven’t found the PERFECT pair yet.
@@WithLoveKristina Mine are Miss L Fire. I got lucky and found them on Poshmark for $35 brand new. My ideal pair would be the 1939 Salvatore Ferragamo pair that were given to Judy Garland. Salvatore Ferragamo has remade them recently but I’m not spending $2000+ on shoes 😅
You can actually find wide brim sun hats very similar to that on Amazon, if you just search something like “wide brim sun hat vintage” it should come up

I collect housekeeping magazines pre 1950s I realized the set up is the prehistoric version of Facebook feed and Pinterest 😅 Ps. Shoes are made so ugly nowadays 🥴
