I remember all those places. That's when it had a real downtown, but nothing like what the late 50s and early 60s had. In 1971, Saint John was 2/3rds the size of Halifax and the beginning of long term decline population decline right up to 2019 and still serious and poverty housing issues remain.Sadly the declining of the city's fortunes continues.
