Yup Been riding since 1971 My first bike was a 69 Honda Mini Trail Now i got a 1990 FXSTC but ive owned about every bike out there I even dispached on moterbikes London for a few years in the 80s on a working holiday
Hello Red Rider. Thanks for the great video was awesome. Thanks for mentioning us older brothers. You said "we paved the way" what a beautiful thing to say. 42 years and still in the wind. Much love to you and your family
What an awesome show, love to see the veteran bike enthusiasts come out of the woodwork, and all the custom choppers n classics, good to see you made that one Red👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just the way it is. I've been to small shows where it was quite puzzling who got recognized, and who didn't. Yep don't take it personally.@@RedRiderCanadaBC
Who needs Disneyland when you have Shovel Fest??? Seeing all those old school bikes looked like a rally from the late 60's early 70's... those were good days. I remember them well. Of course, I was only about 10 years old at the time. You really were in your happy place!!!
This is Old School BIKES & COOL Shovel. THANK YOU, Red Rider. Bless your heart. You were like in a candy store. Appreciation for all your filming & all the smiles from you, but you are our 1st Place for the only Lady in the show? Happy Trails to you Red.😂 From Goose California
The video is one hour long, it's almost perfect! This is enough for me to eat and not get bored in my favorite traffic jams on the road. I am satisfied. Спасибо!
Great video! That's my kind of show where you can show up with a rat bike/unfinished project/crusty daily driver and fit right in (of course I would think that.) Lots of beautiful bikes there, but even so yours was still one of the coolest. I think your bike is finally in its element instead around all the new stuff that normally shows up on the road. Very nice show, I'm glad you got to go to it!
I had such a great time and am so happy I went 😊 Yep, we were both definitely in our element there! I would love to see more shows like this happening!
Great job Angel, your video skills are coming along nicely I must say! Glad you endured the heat and had a wonderful time and shared that great experience. I believe your starting to make a name for yourself getting out there and making great memories too! Keep up the good work your friend “Pingle” Rick lol😉
great show red love those oll school bikes , high fives to you for taking that trip and having a fun day out with other bikers sometimes its hard to get a group to go do anything , great that you just went for it and showed off your bike great job stay safe its been so hot and rainy here in south carolina
What a classic show. Several bit and pieces, (like arm-sprung front forks), (have seen in early year Harley pics., not at a live show / possibly still on the road).
There's some really cool-looking shovelhead that shovel fest but none of them can beat yours out ❤🌹🙏 I love you music in your video keep up the great work red and that's all of that story
Hi 👋, Red , That was a awesome show, Thank you for sharing your experience with those beautiful bikes, and you, of course, 😂. It is strange that some bikers love the thrill of the ride to wherever they go and enjoy every moment of it, whether it is good or bad and if anything goes wrong, you have your friends there to help, and I mean these are friends true bikers always stay together and help each other. And the course there are people that will put the bike trailer and drive it to a festival , bike rally, and take it off the trailer a few miles away from the event and then ride there, these to me are not bikers, I presume they are wanting to own the bike I’m not put miles on it. One of the longest bike events I’ve done, I left my property in Bury St Edmunds UK THEY RODE ALL THE WAY ACROSS EUROPE DOWN TO THE ALGARVE IN PORTUGAL., HOG Rally, That was a amazing ride , 1800 + mills, 4 Days, I went the scenic route, I was supposed to pick up a motorway at the top end of Portugal, then right down towards the Algarve, as I had looked at Google Maps, to find out that the road was under construction, that was a laugh, there was not a bit on motorway for me to go on it was all across country, but amazing scenery, Your advent was amazing, so beautiful, looking bikes as I said before, a lot of dedicated people that enjoy their bikes and a passion for riding. Stay safe, everybody boys and girls , 😂 Thank you for sharing your event with us, RED , Phil from the moulin France.
Hi Phil, thank you for watching and enjoying this episode!! It was a great time! And yes, there were plenty of people there who were very passionate about riding and their motorcycles and that in itself made it an experience worth remembering 😁 I hope to do some good adventures on my motorcycle very soon! Thanks for watching and take care!
Another great vid. You did a great job of NOT going to fast when you showcased the motorcycles. Most go so fast you never get a chance to really inspect them. Always remember to bring a simple bandana. One stays in my pocket at all times. It has a million uses, INCLUDING forming a "due rag" for your head when you forget your hat! ;-)
Everybody was captivated by your Shovelhead! How wonderful is that? Lots of very nice Harleys there, but I did not see any that was as fascinatig as yours.
That show was amazing and the black panhead was the take home bike for me. You did a fantastic job. Thank you. Ps please get a full width ramp so that you can put your feet down 😎
Definitely some nice bikes! Makes me want to try to get my shovels out there sometime. You may not have won a prize this time (but that freeze pop on a hot day certainly sounds like a winner to me). You made every viewer on your channel a winner today by bringing us all along on one very cool event. Thanks for sharing that little bit of awesomeness red. 😂
THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO SHOW THE SHOW. (BACKING UP A TRAILOR IS EASY YOU PUT YOUR AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WHEEL AND TURN IN THE DIRECTION YOU WANT TO GO) Easy Pezzy...
Any chrome plating shop can do copper also ... The green and orange bike was a one year only and I think the design idea for the Heritage models . And yes the color is original . A very rare bike ... Shovelfest has been going on in the US for about 20 years ...
Super Cool video ! Soo many awesome bikes . Don't get to go to rallies so much theses days but... 60 yrs. old on 2 Wheels & still got my Knees In The Breeze !
Grew up surrounded by shovels. Never had one. Stuck with my 56 Pan and 70 Triumph Bonneville. It was okay, lovem all. Great show, keep up the good work
I have to watch this video in increments. My brain can't stay focused for more than like 15 or 20 minutes at a time lol. Hope that's OK. I love seeing old bikes and they all look to be riders. Reminds me of times past and gone forever. Well gone but never forgotten. Todays bikes just don't have the character of those old Pans and Shovels. I bow and tip my hat to all you who have and your amazing bikes, and share them with us. Every one of them is a winner! Great video! Oh, and you definitely did the right thing by driving the truck lol! Ride and stay safe up in your beautiful B.C.!
I'm so jealous. Seems like BC has a good bike-culture. Spokane area, not so much. North Idaho does, but I can never find out where and when the shows and meets are. Wish there was a "Flathead Fest" around here. Anyhow, your bike sure stands out for detail and innovation, form and function. Would have won best garage-build had there been such a category. ! Good job! :) Your pal, Flathead Rat.
It hard to find the events that happen around here too, mostly needs to be word of mouth or you just end up missing out. Thanks Rat! I'm so happy I went to this and was able to share it with you all 😁
Some very unique bikes at that show….some real Hogs…….great video Red 👍🏻. Hat ?….yes you need….trailering is fine…you are there ! Old guys, beer bellies and old vintage Harleys…..Thanks. A lot of peanut gas tanks…..there’s a problem if going far….. 🙈🤠
It was a great event, and the creek a 1/4 mile down the road was extremely refreshing! I trailered my uncles rigid 93" S&S shovel to there & posted it up for sale, as I built and painted it 6 years ago for him but he is physically incapable of riding it now. It has less than 50 miles on it since I built it It is at the 12 minute mark
Thanks Angel, it was just like having a front seat at the show (while I sat in my air conditioning)......Rarely see something like that where I live, so it was great !!
I like what I see, I like you, I like your bikes I like your dad, and sometime Lokie too... This event was great but you were very out of place. A blooming young flower in a field of old onions. Thanks for showing all of the wonderful bikes.
and there's me thinking the Shovel is now an extinct species..., then you turn up with this!! You have made me one hell of a happy guy puttin up this video. Wish I could find a Shovel Show like this over here in Europe.
Whenver I use a UHaul I throw a couple of bricks in the back to prop up the gate a bit and reduce that angle enough to clear it. That was a lot of sweet bikes , love the skinny apes can't wait to get my bobber riding. Great vid.
Some seriously awesome machinery. I had to rewatch it because I fell asleep listening to you tho lol. Not because it was boring or anything, but soothing.
Red, That's one fine shovelhead you have & some awesome looking rides at this show which looking at yours you should have won or at least be in the top 3 . I'm a retired Machinist so kudos to your dad for making some parts for your bike ,it's always nice to see we are still appreciated for our craft. Looked like one fine show & thanks for sharing . Stay safe out there.
Lot of awesome bikes, almost like the 70's all over again, loved the 48 Pan, beautiful original bike, was hoping to see an 81 Sturgis, should have bought one years ago, not sure they were extremely popular with the belt belt at the time, a strong shovel sounds the best, glad you were able to stay awake on drive home, long day, heat and after excitement of the meet
OUTSTANDING!!!!!! you put a smile on my face, watching you enjoy the show. Wish I was there. We had a show down here in NYC called the dinosaur show,,, there were hundreds of bikes, and a swap meet live band. GREAT VIDEO!!!!
That would have to be the best classic bike vid I have seen in a long long time. Thank you so much RedRidingHood . A bit disappointed that you didn’t pick up some award . Seems like their was a few people their that knew of you and your old man eh ? Take care , be safe, all the best. 👍🥃🥃🇦🇺 extra bourbon because it was such a great vid. 😎🤣
