Vintage Kirby 519 (1959) Fully Serviced!

My vintage Kirby has been fully serviced for the year. I took it completely apart, cleaned it, polished it and replaced parts where needed. It has new seals, gaskets, bearings, carbon brushes and a new impeller fan. I switched it back to using a shake-out bag, installed a like new two-row roller brush, the proper flat belt, and regular front wheels.

I’m impressed with how you do all your own work on this vacuum, and also how you demonstrate it in this video. That is one bright light! None of my vacuums have a light that bright.

Thanks, Marshall! It is an LED headlight that I installed a few years ago. They definitely last a long time, and are brighter than the standard bulbs.

Man it looks amazing! Great choice on bag and belt lifter. The metal belt lifter is easier to turn and much stronger. I love that bag with logos, I have a similar bag that's unused I kept for my 562 in case it needs it. Great work it looks factory rebuild fresh!

Thanks, man! Yeah, the metal belt lifter is a HUGE improvement over the previous ones. It can handle belt loads over and over whether you use the soft belt or knurled.

Great to see you back! Do you still have a royal and some of your other kirbys in your collection? You should make some more videos of them one day because I really miss all your vacuums. LOL!

Thanks, bud! I still have my Royal and I have my Diamond Edition. My time to make videos is limited, so I make one when I can.
